    Overview

    Tomoe Gozen was a female samurai of the late Heian era whose exploits were recorded in The Tale of the Heike. She was thought to have fought in and survived the Genpei War, and was the concubine of Minamoto no Yoshinaka. After Yoshinaka died following the Battle of Awazu, Tomoe escaped, killing at least one enemy officer in the process. Her final fate is unclear.

    Persona 4

    Tomoe Gozen is Chie Satonaka's initial Persona in Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 and is depicted wearing a yellow tracksuit reminiscent of Bruce Lee's iconic performance in the 1972 film Game of Death.

    While it learns several magic skills, Tomoe Gozen is adept at physical attacks and is weak to Agi skills but is resistant to Bufu skills. Upon maxing out the Chariot Arcana S. Link, Tomoe Gozen will turn into Suzuka Gongen, Chie's ultimate Persona.
