Experience Points are part of a character advancement system commonly found in RPGs. These points are generally gained by defeating an enemy or completing a task.
FMVs are pre-rendered videos used in place of real-time graphics. Trophies are an incentive-based system for the completion of various objective in PS3, Vita, and PS4 titles.
Ranking Systems tally the player's current progress and relative skill, by tracking raw numbers of multiple statistics (like score and time) during a session of gameplay. This results in a competitive meta-game where the goal is usually to reach the top position.
Scaleform is a software development kit used to integrate Flash based user interfaces with game engines.
Multipliers award players for playing well continuously. Racking up multipliers is crucial in any point based game in which they are featured.
