Tony Zurovec joined Origin Systems in 1990 to work on Ultima VII: The Black Gate. He subsequently worked on the Ultima VII expansion packs and rose to lead programmer on Pagan: Ultima VIII.

He wore two hats (Director and Lead Programmer) for Crusader: No Remorse, which he designed. Then, later, was the driving force behind Crusader: No Regret. Both games were released by Origin Systems in the mid-1990s prior to its acquisition by Electronic Arts.

By his early 30s, Zurovec was a producer and director for Digital Anvil.

In July 2014, Cloud Imperium Games announced that Zurovec had joined the development team for Star Citizen. He is currently working as Director of Persistent Universe in Cloud Imperium's Austin studio. A planet in the Stanton system in Star Citizen is named Crusader in reference to his previous games.
