been playing as a berserker and i have to say that its fun in the first level, but once you get a high level it sucks, his inability to use guns effectively plus the shit armor has resulted in me getting one hit killed multiple times. I'm at level 42 and enemies with guns just chew me up, usually getting off half my energy before i can even get close enough to hit them. the level scaling really seems to fuck the berserker.
so i'm wondering which class is the best balanced to use cause i'm just tired of getting killed cause of shit armor and low hit points, the fact that you have to use guns to defeat almost every boss really fucks over the berseker
Too Human
Game » consists of 8 releases. Released Aug 19, 2008
In this action-RPG from Silicon Knights, players take on the role of the Norse god Baldur, whose protective feelings towards humanity and refusal to augment his body with cybernetics lead the other Aesir to label him "too human".
best class to use?
I'm using a commando, I don't die very much because I kill everything from really far away. I have a lot of weapon range runes, and have upgraded my distance skill a ton so I can kill enemies from like a mile away.
I chose a human beserker and i'm finding the high level stuff to be challenging, but not impossible. I went down the left side of both skill trees, so I have great melee speed and can use guns well, if not effectively. But yeah, I know what you mean about the bosses. I'm starting a commando tommorow.
I can't imagine playing this game without the Champion class. Everything else seems too skewed in one direction or the other. It seems like the Champion is the token way to play the game.
I started a Defender and completed the game, only a few deaths.
after completing I took the defender online, and leveled him to 35.
looking through the character creation, I noticed that the Bio-Engineer had the same damage as the Defender (which I thought was quite good), so I rolled a Bio-Eng.
wow... I die less, I help team players, I do fine damage..
Bio-Eng. all the way.
Played through with a human Berserker first, and died a lot. Especially in Bossfights were you just need to fight with ranged weapon (i.e Iceforrest).
I'm currently rolling with a Cybernetic Berserker with the left skill tree to increase attack speed. I'm almost unstoppable in close range combat, but ranged enemies can get me pretty easily. I'm looking forward to playing online, though, because maybe then I can I somebody fight at range or heal me.
The only time I'll play with my Beserker is when I'm playing with my bio-engineer friend online. My best character is middle path human champion. The middle path helps with air combat. You can juggle someone up, isolate him and not worry about anyone else (except for the stupid spider who has a fricking vertical shockwave).

- Commando. Choose the path with ballistic range and plama turret spider, use plasma weapons, use a melee weapon with a good fierce (like a staff), and you will hardly ever die. I have a level 50 Commando, and I have only died a 2 dozen times. This is the class where offense is your best defense.
- Defender. The defender is great as long as you add health and resistance runes to your armor (blunt, slash, piercing, ballistic). You need to add those runes because the Defender does not excel at melee or ballistic weapons. If you have any slots left, add some weapons damage (melee). I would avoid attack speed or two many ballistic (weapon), you won't be able to take advantage of them very well.
- Champion. The Champion is almost the 2nd best character in terms of survivability. It has better offense than the defender, and is the 2nd most durable character. I place it at three because while it does have increased offense prowess (over the defender, anyway), it's increase is not enough to offset it's mediocre health and armor in bad situations (like fighing multiple polarities).
- Bio Engineer. The Bio Engineer is the class of patience. You have to patiently wait to heal yourself after each fight. However, with good rune-enforced armor, it can be an effective character. To me, it was hard to justify using that class very much once I hit level 50, since it seems like much more of a 4-person co-op support character rather than a 2-person "you have to do your fair share" co-op character. It's elite weapon is a staff with Necro power in it, which helps a lot.
- Berserker. You die a lot as the Berserker... a lot. However, if you take the skill path that increases your speed and slide attack, combine it with the Elite Staffs, you can kill a Dark Elf in three swipes (two if you have the "Increase melee damage" battle cry). Also, if you use armor that is tricked out in attack speed, health, and ballistic resistance, you will greatly increase your survivability. I would leave out the other damage resistances because if your skill tree is set correctly, and you have attack speed maxed out, you will hardly get hit, other than being shor or having missles hit you (it took me a lot of trial and error to figure that out, but now I can make it through Helheim with only 2-3 deaths with my level 50 berserker).
"It doesn't matter what class you choose just as long as you make them Human and not Cybornetic. Speed beats damage in this game by far."
I disagree. Th Human path is best for the Champion and Berserker, while the Cybernetic path is better for the Defender and Commando. I would say the Bio Engeneer is a toss up.
