    It's Not Arkham Asylum

Last year a game came out that did something rarely done before, it took an established property and turned into a good game, a very good game. That game was Arkham Asylum. Sadly in some ways thats a curse because it sets the bar high for all the movie/comic/cartoon adaptations that follow it. And this doesn't reach that bar.

It's not that it's a bad game, because it isn't , not really, it's just not a great game, it's nothing you haven't seen before, it's a lot of ideas borrowed from other games with transforming robots wrapped around it, it's bad dialogue thats not good enough to match the bad dialogue of the cartoons, it's voice acting that you don't care about because they didn't get the real voice of Megatron, it's so many points that make you simply think 'hmm'. On top of that several times already I've suffered from glitched scenery that has forced me to reload checkpoints.

The three things I dislike most:

    1) The wrong achievements are too easy, I just unlocked an achievement for killing 10 enemies with a gun turrent, 10? have the delopers not played Gears of War 2, or Dead Rising, or Left 4 Dead, I'm not asking for 50,000 but 10? C'mon I got it on the first level, without trying.

    2)  *SPOILER WARNING* At the end of the first Decepticon level Megatron gets powered up by 'Dark Energon' but doesn't seem any more powerful, but I'll wait because perhaps he does later on.

    3) it's not G1. Whoever it is at Activision or whoever told them that nobody wants a G1 Transformers game, fire that person, fire him and shoot his dog ... okay don't shoot the dog thats cruel, but give him a wedgie, and then fire him. If you are listening Activision, if you can make a G1 Transformers game, that is as good as Arkham Asylum, that has as much of the original voice cast, music, look, feel of the original series we all watched as kids, if you can make that game I will buy it, full price, day of release, special edition.

Not just a solid Transformers game, a solid game period. 0

I must first start this review by getting a few formalities out of the way.   I am a child of the 80’s, and the biggest part of nostalgia from my childhood is without question the Transformers.   I had the toys, watched the cartoon everyday after school, had huge battles with my friends and cousins after hauling said toys to their houses.   It was simply a great time to be a kid.   So to say I have a certain bias towards this franchise is an understatement.   Now, I don’t automatically think e...

Megatron takes an anti-life stance 0

So I vaguely remember that last year, I thinking that Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was not half-bad. Before you shut the monitor off in disgust and declare me the world’s biggest nitwit failure of a life form, know that I’m talking about the video game, not the 150 minute disaster of a movie. While the campaign was a waste of data and the controls were more unorthodox than people who pull their pants down to use the urinal, the multiplayer options were rather novel. It was akin to Grand T...
