Development
History

Trove was a pet project of a couple of employees at Trion for the past year and Trion finally green-lit them to flesh it out as a complete game.
Alpha
When the game was announced, it was revealed that the alpha build was only a few weeks off and Trion would attempt to send invites to as many people as they could.
Official Release
On July 8th Trove has been officially released. Due to huge interest in the game Trion had problems with servers resulting in up to an hour wait to play. Luckily these issues were eventually resolved.
Gameplay

Not much is known about the game play, but from the limited amount of media released to the public so far it appears to be a third person voxel based game similar is appearance to Cube World, but unlike Cube World players will be able to build and destroy the world. Players will build their houses on whats called a cornerstone. The world will have certain objectives and once complete you will be taken to another world and your cornerstone moves with you. Each world will be able to hold up to 40 players at a time.
