Has Twitch.tv said anything about how they're preparing for the launch of the PS4 and the Xbone? The service has been pretty unstable for a while now, and I can only imagine what will happen when "everyone" who bought the PS4 at launch tries to stream what they're playing at the same time (Twitch sharing will "most likely" be available at launch for both consoles, is the last thing I can find of information about this).
I at least hope that GB has a backup plan for the launch streams. Youtube maybe...?
TwitchTV Integration

TwitchTV is a live-streaming service dedicated to video games. Some online games feature the ability to stream gameplay to TwitchTV directly within the game itself.
How screwed up will Twitch be when the consoles launch?
@amyggen: This will be Twitch for the first few days:
@truthtellah: Yeah, pretty much. It seems like the service has been struggling for some time now, a lot of people have been reporting problems with being able to watch streams at high settings. So I'll be shocked if the twitch.tv page isn't just one big error come launch day.
Apparently PS4 doesn't support twitch at launch, here's a handy graphic of the apps Vs. on each console -

It's been pretty consistently fucked for like six months now, so I won't at all be surprised when it's down for several days at launch.
@razielcuts: Ah, okay. That should help, even though I'm guessing a lot of people will try to stream in other ways. The last info I could find was that the app would probably be available at launch, but good to see that it isn't.

Hopefully this is what pushes them to get some European servers, cause the current twitch experience is fucking awful over here, and that Sucks cause I watch way too much Dota on twitch.
I was going to write this exact thing, but now I don't have to.
If Twitch have said anything concerning the console launches, I haven't heard it. They really need to step it up imo. Anyone can see it's a popular service that's growing exponentially every year and I would think bigger companies are looking into their own streaming tech. At the moment, I would welcome a better alternative, anything better.
And it's not just the streaming problems. It's the interface, the community integration, the channel options, the chat etc.

I hope not I love watching launchstreams especially when I can not buy one at the moment^^
@christoffer: I've never actually had huge problems with the stream (granted, I mostly just use twitch when there's a GB stream, people who watch LoL/Dota 2 streams have a lot more experience than me), but I agree with you about both the interface and the chat. Maybe @mrjared will have something to say about what Twitch is doing to prepare for the launch of both consoles? :)
