Is ridiculous when an AI opponent. Does anyone have any suggestions to beat him in career? You simply don't have a chance to get off the mat once he inevitably tackles you (or catches my kickboxer's head kick and throws me to the ground). I can't guard any of his passes and he just gets into full mount in 5 seconds.

One thing that annoys me about this game is that you can pummel your opponent with twenty head kicks and have them still standing, then they'll pull some weak ass punch/kick/submission and they'll pull it off.

I'm quite aware that the fact my fighter's stats are really low in ground defense isn't helping anything, but my strength and brutal kicks that split his face should knock him down or something.

Anyway, I digress. Do you guys have any suggestions? Shogun was this brutal in the demo as well, and it's annoying me.

@Computerplayer1: Career mode can be a bitch when faceing an oppenent that dominates the ground. I was having the same problem with Thales Leites in the middleweight division.
let me help you with a few bullet points
    • Leg kicks to the head a great, but the computer catches on to them very quick
    • focus all over the body. body shots are great for lowering stamina and leg kicks are great for lowering speed and takedown success
    • dont rush in. spend most of your time on the outside and be a counter striker.
    • KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE R-STICK. You'll need to do this in order to duck in and out to get a good counter strike game going and better chance of reversing a takedown
    • keep your combos short. Anything over 3 is asking for a counter
    • If all else fails. Hold the R-stick to the side when your taken down. This will prevent Shogun from transisioning and the ref will eventually stand you up. Its possible he can beat you out of the hold so wait til you see him atempt a move, let go, throw a strike, and resume.
    Good Luck
