Uncharted 2 is the best game ever made
Uncharted 2 is a superb game. From the graphics, the gamplay the audio and the story. It has such a top notch production that the single player is one of the most engaging games i've ever played. If that wasn't enough the multiplayer is just as good as the single player making the package well worth the price.
The story follows Nathan Drake, a Indiana Jones like character out to look for ancient mysteries, but he his not a professor but a thief. He works with a crew to find the trasure of marco polo yet finds himself into all kinds of trouble. The story is paced well and is extremely intriguing. Any person who enjoyed the indiana jones series will enjoy this game. The character are developed well and the ending is very satisfying.
The gameplay is just a solid third person shooter. It plays like a very fluid gears of war game with all the cover mechanics included. It also has a very extensive melee that is satisfying to do (i ended up doing that a lot). Also aiming is very well refined making it possible to get headshots without making it too easy. The single player gameplay transitions well into multiplayer except there are real players to fight against. The multiplayer has the whole RPG element to it much like the modern warfare series to keep players playing. There are a variety of the multiplayer modes but deathmatch and team deathmatch are the best.
The graphics are amazing really showcasing the power of the PS3. I really believed that at times the detail Naughty Dog was able to show could not be shown on the 360. One of the most striking levels is the moving train level with Nathan runnung through a moving train. Many of the levels look so beautiful and vivid it deserves to just be able to stop and look around.
The audio matches the graphics with great movie type score and top notch voice acting. The music is engaging and works with the scene. The effects sound realistic and most of all in such a engrossing story the voice acting is amazing. The voice actors play their roles extremely well making each character engrossing. This is Nolan North's greatest work pushing him as one of the best voice actors in the game industry.
Overall if you have a PS3 do yourself a favor and buy this game. It is a must have in any ps3 collection and this type of quality is what all games should strive for.
