A must play for PS3 owners

Despite his appearance, Nathan Drake is a not so ordinary man. He can scale large walls, perform jumps and react faster than most of us can only imagine. He can take down entire squads of well-armed men with only a T-shirt and jeans. But that is only when Nathan is at his best.

Every time you think you've got the hang of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Nate will die horribly from a fall, sniper shots, explosions, and plain gunfire. This is the only game where the AI has actually aggressively flanked me and often attempts to flush me out of cover to take me out. Occasionally there are cinematic moments of peril where you must hit a button within a certain amount of time or you get to watch Drake die. There's also times when you are literally killed by an exploding barrel because the AI saw you run by and knew it could kill you easily that way, and later in the game exploding barrels will even loveingly float towards you while you attempt to ascend rapids just to awkwardly kill you and make you start back at the checkpoint. Suffice to say, this is a game where you will die a whole lot.

Aside from the constant deaths, Uncharted is a refreshing game involving tons of platforming, minor puzzle solving, and plenty of dangerous encounters with modern-day pirates and a fun hollywood-style treasure hunting story with good voice acting. The overall experience is smooth and the graphics in particularly the water effects are fantastic.

Drake and his friend, Sully, are chasing the ancient lost city of El Dorado. Together, accompanied by journalist Elena, they follow clues in the journal that belonged to Francis Drake himself. You can expect some plot twists here and there, and for the most part, the story is great. It starts off slowly, introducing you to the character...

I wanted to like it more 0

Uncharted looks great, there is no denying that.  The story is also decent, and the gun play is functional, so why don't i like it more?   Uncharted, for those who don't know, is Gears of War meets Tomb Raider meets Indiana Jones.  The influence from Indiana Jones is in the story, and that bit is really well told.  Nathan Drake is a great action hero and Nolan North really brings him to life.  I also ended up actually liking the obligatory love interest and the villains are suitably evil.  There...
