    Overview

An attract mode is a mode in which the game will play a looping gameplay demonstration meant to attract players. First seen in arcade titles, it migrated to home consoles, as well. An attract mode is typically triggered by allowing the game to remain on the title screen for an extended period of time. The game will then play a short demonstration video to give players an idea of how the game is played, and then typically display a high score table before returning to the title screen. Some games may have multiple demonstration videos that are looped through in sequence if the game is left idle.
