    Overview

Valhalla Hills is a building strategy game developed by Funatics and published by Daedalic. It's a game in the tradition of game classics like The Settlers 2 or Cultures. The story is about a group of Vikings who were thrown out from Valhalla and want to return to Odin's table. To do so they have to reach a magic portal on top of a huge mountain over and over again, until they've gained enough honour to please the father of the gods.

    Development

The Creative Director of Valhalla Hills, Thomas Häuser, also was the mastermind and head programmer of "The Settlers II – Veni, Vidi, Vici" in 1994. Now, more than 20 years later, he found it has become time to create a new game in the tradition of this unique game classic. The idea for a building strategy game in a real 3D environment had been born. Supported by publisher Daedalic, the Funatics team launched Valhalla Hills on Steam Early Access in August 2015, after approximately nine months of development. The unique art style is driven by Unreal 4.
