    Save your save files, Sega has announced today that the Valkyrie Chronicles 2 on PSP will link up with the PS3 original, unlocking special bonus content in the process. 
     
    Those who have save data from the original Valkyria Chronicles will be able to make use of Isara, little sister to the original games main character. The character will also be accessible for all users via a password that will be shared in a future update at the Valkyria 2 official site. In addition to this, the original's Faldio Landzaat and Maximilian will appear as guest characters in the game. On February 4th and February 18th Sega will post download codes to unlock them.

    I was already going to buy this, but now I have even more reason for doing so. This is pretty awesome. I love it when games do things like this.

    June 30th is the current targeted US release date according to GameStop. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back into the 4th quarter though.

    Well it doesn't quite make up for not being on the PS3, despite my acknowledgement that Sega will make loads more money with it being on the PSP, but I'll take what I can get.

    I expect the Western version will be in playable from at this years E3 with a release a month or so later.
