I discovered Raven's Cry by accident while browsing Amazon. The setting seems to be pretty interesting, some kind of dark PotC.

On the official website it states its features as:

• Action adventure set in the age when pirates plagued the Caribbean
• Tactical yet brutal melee combat
• Cast of memorable characters
• Use special moves abilities like Fear and Frenzy to overcome enemies

• Dark-themed pirate setting
• Unique combat by combining melee combat & historical weaponry

So what do you think? A game that could spark your interest?

I hope it'll have some RPG elements and is open-world-like.

of course it's potentially interesting ...but without a proper description or videos there's not much to get excited about beside the basic setting.

True, but after browsing I've realized there's a lot less information about it in English. Posting information and videos in German wouldn't make much sense since most ppl here speak English... ^^;

you get more info from the developer website since the german page just describes the teaser and says "hey, this game exists".

I doubt the date has any substantial info attached to it.

by the way, the pcgameshardware link is pretty much the same again. pc games and pc games hardware are more or less the same anyway. different wording butt same content. just the announcement and teaser breakdown.

if the live action teaser is any indication of how the quality of the game turns out then that's a bad sign lol

It may be up elsewhere, but PC Gamer has an English trailer up that shows some in-game footage cut with some CG and live action dudes. Still doesn't give much context for how it will play, but it's something.

I really hope this doesn't end up like Venetica.

Hope so too. I have a really hard time playing through Venetica to get rid of my C score... that's about my only motivation to even continue with it :[
