I wound up watching MHA because it was super hyped before and after this panel. I dig it a bunch.

I really hope Jeff follows through and watches Initial D. Its like Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift... but anime... Also its a long enough show they could do another podcast series on it and it has the old style animation quality he likes.

I watched Space Patrol Luluco because of this. It's good.

Glad you like it! Of all the clips they could have showed, they showed one that didn't mean anything if you've never seen an episode.

I really hoped to see someone showing them a clip of Hajime no Ippo, 30 seconds of one of the fight scenes is plenty to show what the show is.

As soon as she said Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood I knew it was either that scene or when they meet for the first time and have a flex-off.

Also Black Lagoon is indeed fantastic (and my favorite anime because the church shootout is the best scene ever), and I should probably watch My Hero Academia sometime.

Glad they chose the Black Lagoon clip I submitted. Just a suggestion for anyone looking to dive into it: The show makes a lot more sense thematically if you watch it in English. This isn't a subs vs dubs issue so much as it is a plot / writing issue, although luckily the English dub is suberb.

It makes me genuinely happy that Jeff seems into Yuru Camp/Laid-Back Camp. It is easily the most underrated show of the year by a huge margin. Just really pleasant and fun.

What's up with the color in this video? Anyone else think it looks a little off?

Also, did they pick One-Punch Man? I haven't watched the whole thing yet but have high hopes.

I just now watched this on Youtube after I gave up waiting for it here.

City Hunter is a very good classic old school anime... honestly top 3 anime of all time, just full of nostalgia for me.

Most of the episodes look to have been uploaded to youtube. (looks like the full season based on the 51 videos in the play list, there are really 3 seasons, with the 3rd seasons being weird,there is also Angel Hunter which is a sequel, which is also very good).

It's definitely wrong compared to the source that was on Twitch.

This was a neat thing though really short. I get that they can only show clips from anime available on Crunchyroll since the panel is basically to advertise their service, but I was expecting more weirdness.

Only disappointment was the JoJo clip picked. Don't show the dice turning back into a dude, don't show the creepy-ass body-horror of that author's stand. Don't show "Za Wurldo" or the tank being dropped on JoJo or even "I have stolen the first kiss of the girl you love haha!".

So many great clips that really get across the 'wtf is this show" and what we got was a random ass bit of violence after tension..shame. Otherwise, great panel.

They really should've had a clip of the driving test episode of DBZ.

Jeff should still watch the P4 anime since he's seemed interested in it in the past.

Jeff's idea for Mr. Domino sounds a lot like One Punch Man.

A lot of these clips are both very accurate and very misrepresentation of the shows, so anime.

Wow off topic but didnt know jeff's eyes were crystal blue lol. Anyway happy the guys were able to learn a new perspective and enjoy it. Like having your first ice cream as a kid after saying it looks yuky.
