Yes, Rossi has got a ride with Manor-Marussia for the remainder of the races this year. The plot thickens when looking at the remaining points Rossi needs to get his full super license to be eligible to race in F1 for 2016. He needs to either finish P2 or greater in GP2 or start at least 5 F1 races to get a license for what I see as a yet unannounced F1 seat for 2016. Haas F1 could be pitching in some money for this chance.

Haas F1 is a US team with a lot of support from the work Ferrari team, while Manor has a Ferrari engine contract, at the moment. The Haas F1 team has made it clear that they want a Ferrari Jr. driver and an experienced F1 driver, so Rossi's move to a racing seat at Manor could be Haas F1 making an inexpensive investment into a future driver at his team. Or Rossi is just being thrown a bone from someone. Rossi got the finacial assiatance from someone, so someone is banking cash on his future success.

It'll be cool to see him getting to race at Suzuka, COTA, and the newly renovated Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. :D

From everything I've read Rossi is not actually going to do all remaining races. He's going to do 5, while Merhi is going to drive in Russia and Abu Dhabi still.

Also Dave Lang is going to do the podium interview, right? (How great would that be.)

Just a correction on something Danny said about Nelson Piquet Jr's crash. It actually happened at turn 17, the corner before they drive under the grandstand.

@sessh: Rossi is 2nd in the gp2 series so he is going to run the last 2 races of that series. Thats why hes missing those races.

He will be in the car for COTA though. An American in f1 at the American gp circuit. ..... with last years engine. :(
