The bit you expect to be the main focus, the battleships, was 'not actual game footage' and then they show off some random FPS against... Aliens? Deep ocean-dwelling dudes?

This game is going to be crap. With that said, is it wrong that I think the idea/premise of an FPS with RTS elements sounds kind of cool?

Man, this game looks awesome. It's got everything a game needs: aliens, guns, graphics, a few animations, and a coveted license. It's a good thing they didn't ruin it by basing the game around battleships though. That would've been terrible.

I'm trying to figure out just.. what exactly is "BATTLESHIP" about this entire franchise setup.. are they aliens going to turn out to be big red and white pegs? or are they going to stick lines like.. "SEND A NUKE TO D8!" into the movie? just where exactly does battleship come into this whole deal...
