@rorie : can we find out who messed up avalon ? was it your self drew or brad? Obviously Dan wasnt sure who was evil so couldnt just go hang on a sec i know your all good what you doing crazy people, and once we know who it was was it on purpose or accidental?

The absolute amount of bullshit that has to go into setting up and tearing down (and actually producing it live, dear god!) an event like this is a monumental accomplishment with such a compact staff. Of course, the guests and GameSpot crew helped tremendously, and all should be applauded. There are live TV shows with staffs that have 100 times more people behind the scenes than this show had that don't turn out as well as this did. Absolutely Herculean effort for the Vinny/Jason/Drew/Rob/Ty/Mary control room squad.

Serious question for the staff: I've actually been tempted to stay monthly, since it actually means I pay more that way, but I'm sure that yearly subscriber numbers are also very important to the spreadsheet pushers upstairs too. Which, in the long run, is more important -- the extra $25 you'd get yearly if I stayed monthly, or does another yearly subscriber look better on paper than a monthly one that technically brings in more money each year?

All that aside, this was a tremendously funny live show, and it helps that some ringers were brought in who we already know are great at live performances. Aside from you guys and the GS crew (who are used to being live all the time), Lang, "The Gooch", Drake, Adam, Will and Norm all brought their A-games.

I think the consensus I've seen is that this was the best BLLSL so far (a high bar), that it was consistently funnier than previous ones and that it had tons of moments that entered the Giant Bomb in-joke canon -- the yellow russian, bad brad's sick slick 'do (which really, unironically looked great by the way, @brad), #thumbgate, Hotspurs and Top 40 radio, the Drake/Ryckert matches -- and I still have the entire premium stream to watch! Thanks for the monumental effort and the spectacular results.

I really hope it led to tons of new subs, and from vague responses in various places, it sounds like it did pretty well for Giant Bomb. I know it would have convinced me if I wasn't already premium.

During the Blackwater segment, I remember think "Nice, Brad finally got a haircut." OH HOW NAIVE I WAS.

I love me some "Lang Zone" and the Gooch.

Definitely better with nacho cheese....oh heavens that was pure chicanery.....only Dan could give birth to such a nightmare.
