I have no idea why I’m so interested in this game. I’ve never liked fighting games and have barely thought about Dragonball since being way into it as a kid in the late 90’s but for some reason I really want to play this.

I've got the audio bar so low I can't see the meter.

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on the Wii is the one DB game I've liked. This game seems to miss the more grander scale of that one.

I'm gonna be that guy. Heard the English VA's, expecting Japanese and immediately cringed.

Also Ben meant to say Gotenks is the best character in DBZ.

The English VA is so bad, especially for Goku Black.

Hopefully the PC version will be good.

Dragon Ball Kai cut out about 140 episodes of the series, and it so much more accessible for it! (Though I do still love the original)

I'm not really a Dragon Ball fan, but this game looks like it's a lot of fun. Also, yay Jan!

As much as, in theory, I love that the same little old Japanese lady has voiced Goku for 30 years... I just cannot deal with the screechy little kid voice. It's like he never went through puberty!

Can someone tell me how easy it is to play this game as someone who doesn't play fighting games? Is it like Street Fighter 4 in that you have kind of slow, deliberate moves or is it more fluid like Tekken or the Budokai games?

SSG is a form only goku shown so far and is red then SSGSS is the Blue Form that both Vegeta and Goku have how Vegeta get it while skipping the SSG step is beyond me

Different strokes for different folks! People are going to argue this to the end of the earth, so it's probably best just to accept that many people (especially Americans) love the English dub(s) and many people love the original. Peace to both sides!

I always thought that if Giant Bomb was a Shonen Manga that Dan Ryckert would be the plucky underdog-turned-supergod protagonist, but Ben makes a compelling argument for himself in this video...

At long last! The Legendary Super Ben!

It's an anime fighter, an Arcsys fighter in particular. Slow and deliberate is never part of the occasion. They're a very different beast from Tekken too though.

Having no attachment really to DB and not really good at fighting games at all this will have to wait at least. I'll go back to Injustice 2 or Tekken to get my fix for the time being. This looks slick as hell, though, and I love watching them play fighting games in general. Also yay for Ben Pack back with the big mac attack jack.

If anyone who hasn't watched Super wants to be extra confused about Goku Black, he's technically not Goku at all. Oh it's dumb, real dumb. Super is basically one big endless series of fan fiction what if stories, in jokes, references to dragonball memes etc. It's a very silly sequel series but also kinda amazing for the same reason.

Right now Frieza is alive again and is helping Goku defeat the latest toughest strongest guys in a tournament set inside another dimension. And Goku is single handedly responsible for the deaths of trillions upon trillions of people and the show doesn't acknowledge this at all.

@benpack The new My Hero Academia game isn't like the Budokai games. It's like the Budokai TENKAICHI games. Big difference.

It's actually even worse than that. The show does acknowledge it, with Toppo explicitly saying that Goku is truly evil or something like that, and every fighter from every other universe hating him and trying to gang up on him. And Goku doesn't give a shit. Someone needs to stop HIM at this point.

On topic, I cannot wait to play this game tomorrow.

7th through 9th grade I was into Dragon Ball Z and this looks dope as hell and brings back some warm and fuzzies feelings that nolstagia do. Vegeta was the man.
