I'm glad that Terry continues to find work. He obviously works god damn hard. Look at this hilarious overacting. He didn't phone this in.

Is there even a single frame of destruction in this? All I see are explosions, and before it clears any you can see anything it cuts. Pretty lame when their CG trailer was buildings crumbling.

I think they let down Terry Crews! He totally gave it his all, being amped for them and providing energy - but that looked like a 2012 game! What is with MS?

They flubbed Halo. They flubbed Gears. And, now they made Crackdown seem like a B-Game. Everything they built with 360 has just gotten tired an old, Xbox game roster is a run down carnival with old rickety rides.

I was excited for Crackdown 3 until I saw this. The superhero game has come a long way since Crackdown and it doesn't look like they have kept up. I hope I'm wrong.

This was the last time the game was shown:

I don't think this exists any more. If it did, surely you'd highlight it when you're trying to sell a brand new console?

Not even Terry Crews can distract me from you bailing on the destruction element of the game.

The game can still be fun though, but that's a let down. It would take Crackdown to the next level.

Yeah they pretty clearly bailed on this. It seemed incredibly hard to pull off and it turns out it must have been.

I have been wondering lately if Red Faction Guerilla was just some wonderful piece of programming work or something. No one does cool destruction like it. It's too bad.

Noticed this during the conference. This seemed like the main selling point and what they showed was not one bit impressive.

This looks about as "exciting" as Agents of Mayhem without the destruction stuff.

I really hope this doesn't end up being a series that's cursed with tons of potential and never living up to it, but signs are starting to look that way.

It's too bad because a game with detailed destruction like this would be a must-buy for me. What I saw in the trailer didn't feel nearly as compelling.

If I understand the situation correctly, the destruction was only ever going to be in the multiplayer because they were going to offload the calculations for it to a server-side client to make up for hardware deficiencies in the console, and the single-player was going to have a more traditional campaign. That seems to still be the case.

It's unfortunate, because as RF:G showed you can build some really interesting single-player scenarios around that kind of tech.
