E3 2018: Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise Localization Is Not Already Dead

I was not expecting English voice acting, but I suppose it makes sense. This isn't Japan.

Although I am glad it will have dual-audio. Normally I would just stick to English, but Kiryu's VA as the main character sure is tempting.

This is the biggest E3 announcement.

The reason I found the English voice acting surprising is because that means they have actually put some money into this localization.

I was reading a few of the amazon japan reviews. It seems like a solid game but some people were mad that they deviated from the cannon or something like that. I couldn't care less, just want to explode some heads.

So when were the Titans introduced into Fist of the North Star?

The fact that this is not only coming out, but coming out in October is SUPER exciting. I finally watched Fist of the North Star late last year/early this year and this looks like some incredibly good shit.

With the Yakuza team behind this I think it is going to be excellent. Can't wait to see where they go with the story even if it goes off the rails non-canon.

I started off surprisingly disappointed in this game and trailer just 'cause Kiryu's VA is so good, but calling out Dual Audio (which is hopefully what we're all assuming it is) redeemed it entirely for me. I'm stoked that it's coming out this year!

I played through the Japanese version when it came out this spring, and I really really enjoyed it. I would easily recommend it to any fan of either Fist of the North Star and/or Yakuza, and I think it serves as a fine introduction to either if you're familiar with one but not the other. (Personally I love both and consider it a match made in heaven!)

I was hoping this would get an overseas release, and hoping (but not necessarily expecting) word out of E3, but I definitely didn't expect it so soon! I always figured I'd buy this again when it came out in English, but I didn't think it'd come out before I felt really done with the Japanese version, lol

Majima's actor plays Jagi (in this trailer the guy with the helmet who spits needles.)

This is excellent news. Even though it is the third game from the Yakuza team that is released in the west this year, I am pumped as hell. Fist of the North Star might be the perfect manga (I could seriously talk about it until foam comes from my mouth) and no other team could do it justice. Glad to see that the gore has been increased for the western version and that there is an option for the Japanese audio too.

Man, what an E3.

I still can't believe they made a Yakuza-Style Fist of the North Star game. I need this so much, glad it's getting localised.
