It's hilarious the way he says the shorts thing.

I place logos IN my shorts because I want to be unique. 

They don't call it The Octagon in EA sports MMA, that term is copyrighted by Zuffa for use by its subsidiaries (UFC, WEC).  If EA called it the octagon they'd be seriously sued.

I really hope this game is good.  This looks like it could be even better than the UFC titles, but looks can be so deceiving.   
 
I'm glad there's finally a release date attached to this game, though.

This might have just sold me on this game. Pretty impressed by the content and detail of this one.

I really like the who camp and organization stuff. Make a good fighting system and I'm in.

The HTC product placement is a nice touch.

Looks great visually and overall, but I see what Ekberg was saying on the Bombcast about the punches... They just seem slow, and not that damaging.

Sold me with Bas Rutten.

All the window dressing they talked about sounded great, unfortunately every time the video cut to gameplay footage it looked weak with floaty grabbing and unsatisfying punches.

The first piece of gameplay in this trailer is a ghost punch that knocks a down followed by a canned-animation punch that slides the guys like three feet to the right.

Apart from the terrible narrator, the game looks good but I'm not too sure if it can compete with UFC 2010, since they have the licence and everything. I mean EA Sports are absolutely dominating the sports game market but even if they nail it, the gameplay can't be that much better than UFC's since they did great gameplay in the first place. I just can't see myself wanting to play a MMA game without fighters like Rashad, Machida and Lesner   

With all these virtual gyms why bother going to real gyms anymore!
