Auuuggghh so close for all the videos so far today.
As for BackBreaker, as a sports gamer I really hope this game is good and would love for Madden to get some legit competition... but I don't have much hope.

the tackle at 1.29 looks silly. this games hypes up the dynamic tackles so much but when someone misses a tackle like that and they just land flat looks dumb I never normally pick up on stuff like this and have to rely on comments but that was just silly.

Wow, way to make a incomprehensible game even more incomprehensible (to a non-native). I can just about get my head around Madden but all this up, up, down, down nonsense - it's a football game not SFIV or Skate.

Without the license or Madden familiarity (which has run out of steam and new ideas admittedly), this may fall into a Blitz / NFL Street niche ... fun for a while or around a big telly but lacking the depth of the real thing. Do agree that the lack of competition is killing sports games though, that and fragmenting the mainstream audience through micro-payments and DLC.

Ever missed a tackle on a player in real life? It looks just as dumb when you land flat.

The gameplay actually looks pretty cool. If they can somehow make me care about the players and seasons without the NFL license this game could be the tits.

The game handles really well, but I wish it had a mode for people who don't get football. As someone who doesn't understand what the fuck any of those plays are or anything like that, it just makes it so I can't play. Either teach us how, or make it so we don't need to understand. Love the animations and stuff though, really impressive. I really really liked the Tackle Alley or whatever in the demo though, felt really solid and responsive and made you think and be aware of what's going on.
