I like Mr. Gilbert. I'll probably like his game.
Oh God I want it all! I want it now!!!!
If it's got Gilbert's name on it, I'll eat it up.

been going nuts over adventure games since the latest walking dead episode. always loved puzzle platformers.
Sounds like the hillbilly is the one to go with. Maybe.
Ron Gilbert's Dizzy: The Ultimate Cartoon Adventure
Really, the gameplay seems just like the ZX Spectrum era Dizzy games! Maybe this game will make people realise why they were popular at the time.
Always love a Gilbert game. Did anyone else notice the "Ask me about LOOM" button he had on his shirt pocket? Classic.
Looks awesome. Also, glad to know it'll come out on the PSN.

It was the calming sound of Brads voice that soothed Ron's angry mind.
Is there footage of Brad asking Ron about Loom? Hope he didn't pull a Brad on us...

Whoa, didn't know the game looked that good. Love the art style.

This game looks so rad! I can't wait to play it.
I'm interested to see what Ron can do working with a competent studio once again.

I guess just a point that wasn't touched on here, no load times. You just keep progressing deeper and deeper into the cave without any hold-ups. And from what I saw, the adventurer looks to be based on Amelia Earhart, so she is in my first three for sure.
Oh, and it has nothing to do with Plato's Cave. if that means anything to you.
Haha Loom button. Very nice, Mr. Gilbert. Game looks mighty interesting. Hell, there's no way I won't get this.

It gives me a very Lost Vikings or Trine feel, if you added a dash of Metroidvania and more characters. Keeping an eye on this one.
So this is what Brad meant by Jovial. Also now that I know it's an adventure game, The Cave is much more appealing to me.
This will be a day one purchase for sure.

Double Fine is a much better fit for Ron Gilbert, can't wait!

That other designer "JP" would be JP LeBreton of BioShock 1 and 2 fame!
Looks great, can't wait to play it.
Seems like an interesting game.
How the hell did brad not ask him about LOOM? He's wearing a badge that says "Ask me about LOOM". YOU HAVE TO ASK THE MAN ABOUT LOOM!!!!!
Ron Gilbert making another adventure game? Who woulda thunk it?

Ask me about LOOM! :D
I'm with Brad in that Ron Gilbert doesn't seem as grumpy as people make him out to be

What's the story with Loom? I never played it but from the wiki page it says it wasn't successful and I couldn't find Ron Gilbert in the credits.

@Pop: It's a reference to Secret of Monkey Island where a pirate in the Scumm Bar had a pin that said "Ask me about Loom". If you ask him about it he's just giving you a pitch for the game.
@Grimmy616: ohhh I remember that, I just completely forgot. Thanks duder.

I will get this day one. Also, he didn't seem grumpy at all!
Really, this man is a wonderful talker at conventions.
I wish I could've ask him about LOOM.

Now I want a Grog machine and a Hot dog vending machine.
Thanks for this coverage Brad. I knew that Gilbert was making it and I would have to try it, but the game sounds and looks excellent. Since Psychonauts I've loved every IP Double Fine has created, with Stacking being my personal black sheep. I beat it but didn't enjoy myself. This will be a day one purchase regardless. Ron Gilbert is the man. Double Fine Adventure gameplay anytime soon? Also New Grog.
The demo was a lot of fun and the main puzzle was pretty well done. The person playing in front of me got stuck and asked me for help, so we worked through it together. Definitely brought back memories of playing Lucas games with my friend. Can't wait for the release!
Anybody looking for another reason to be excited for this game, check it out: Chris "Boost" Remo of Idle Thumbs is one of the writers working on it. WOOOO
God damn it, I know Brad get's a lot of shit on this site but he is a FANTASTIC interviewer. he knows how to ask all the right questions and avoid any awkward or unnecessary conversation. Love it!
