Certainly looks like the mic cable that Drew later tells Dan to stuff into his pocket.

I don't think I've ever had more empathy for another person than watching Jeff and Dan struggle through their respective final laps.

Great work cutting it all together, too.

Thanks for putting up the raw footage. It really shows just how much time and effort went into the actual video.

As great as it was for Six Flags to let the guys do this, I think the truly amazing part is that Dan was able to talk Jeff into doing it with him.

I think it makes perfect sense, makes the video more focussed on just how far they got.

Man every year there's some enormously silly video that gets me to re-up again. Last year was the Swery whistly video, this year it's this. There's that Drew again, getting my $50.

What was the point of the goPros on their chest? You can't see what's on their screens. It's pretty useless. But then again this entire stunt was useless.

I love how Jeff and Dan take it all in stride, despite the silly premise and probably being an especially miserable experience.

Maybe that's just my own fear of heights talking.

I hope we find out how they convinced Six Flags that this was a great idea. I'm so glad they went along with it.

Oh man, @DanRyckert's face on that victory lap was really telling of how he was barely hanging on at the end.

It's not hard, Six Flags gets Pub (it made the front page of the AV Club, so that's a bonus right there). GB may also have thrown them a bit of coin for park staff overtime.

Having ridden 230(ish) coasters, many at events that have ride time before and/or after the park is open (including my wedding where we spent about half as much as as "normal" wedding to get 120 people into the park two hours early for the ceremony and ride time plus lunch and T-shirts for the lot of them) I can tell you that the thing the park was most concerned with is that everything taken on the ride was secured firmly in place.

I can also tell you that I might have felt a bit woozy doing that (and coasters do not make me woozy) becuse of the disconnect between what you are looking at and what you inner ear is feeling (the same reason that many people can't read while riding in a car).

I sadistically loved that on each of their final runs they just gave up hope on actually playing the game during the 'good parts' of the coaster -- it was just "frantically play until you hit the top of the first ascent, pause game, pray not to puke for the rest of the ride."

I can't believe an amusement park was ok with this.

Drew, I can't believe you got the attendant saying "All clear to dispatch", then zoomed in for a great shot of her hitting both "go" buttons, then turned and got Dan and Jeff talking about street passes with Jeff hilariously hamming to the camera, within the span of 5 seconds. Awesome camera work!

I love that Jeff gets speechless during the twists/turns. I can't yell either when riding a rollercoaster. I'm glad im not alone.
