This is wonderful, but in the back of my mind I can't help but hope this is the Proof of Concept pitch for Jeff's Japan Raid. Giant Bombings Abroad! Or something less awful sounding.

Just wanted to say good job; great video. The super low depth of field shots look cool, although it usually isn't great for run-and-gun documentary video. That said, it kind of works here because it gives the sense of being drunk and delirious in a strange land.

Also! The dong museum is the centerpiece of the INCREDIBLE DOCUMENTARY "The Final Member," which also follows the race for a human donor. It's amazing. Absolutely see the doc.

Yes some awesome quality. However for those who don't know much about filming and camera. See the whip pan at 2:35? We call that the "Jello Effect", a significant wobble caused by rolling shutter distortion that is particularly obvious on DSLRs and especially at high shutter speeds. If you don't know its because the sensor works in a top to down scanning method so the bottom shows up slower than the top so if you're moving very quickly the top if shown closer to real time than the bottom producing a wobble. Where as on a slower shutter speed or on most camcorders (unless on a telephoto or high shutter mode) you'll get the traditional motion blur.

Terrific work Drew and Patrick. If I had to sum it up I would say it's MS Flight Simulator meets Anthony Bourdain playing Moon Patrol. Can't wait to see your next adventures! I have to see your travelogue from Japan next.

@drewbert This is a goddamn masterpiece of editing. Most Giant Bomb videos are good for one viewing, but I downloaded this in HD for repeat enjoyment. So glad to support the site, when you are doing great work like this.
