Is it so wrong that I'm seriously considering picking up an Xbox One solely for this? The only thing that could have made this trailer better would have been the full version of that "Give the Covenant back their bomb" scene from 2004's trailer. I don't think any other trailer, apart from the Gears of War "Mad World" trailer, has ever made me so excited for a game.

It's strange to think that in another 10 years this will probably appear underwhelming, at least insofar as Halo 2 is perceived today.

Definitely the most excited to go back to Halo 2. When it came out I bought it on launch day, finished it, messed a little with multiplayer, really liked it. But I never went back to it, I'm assuming because the pop in and weird graphical stuff really bugged me despite loving the game. Can't wait for the 11th.

Yea..... definitely getting an Xbox One on Black Friday. Goddamn have I missed playing Halo since my 360 busted like 3 years ago.

GD the cutscenes alone are gonna make Halo 2 Anniversary a must play. If they did this with all the games and put out another version of Master Chief Collection next year I'd buy it again.

@jonnyhaze: I'm always incredibly impressed with Blur cinematics. Their sizzle reel is INSANE.

Never thought I would want an Xbox One, not even for Halo 5 (after 4), but I need this collection! Only if 1 and 2 multiplayer is EXACTLY the same as original though....

Why is everyone saying "its not in engine so who cares"? Do they realize that even today's best looking games ran on max settings @ 4k don't come any where close to this? Even the "Crysis 3 @ 8k" stuff wouldn't look this good on the facial models and characters. People need to calm down.

I wish Microsoft would at lease be consistent, if they refuse to release the actual main Halo games on the PC...it would be appreciated if they didn't release the shitty mobile games on PC as well.

I mean, it looks good, but at this point it may as well not even be the same game. The characters look nothing like they used to, and not just in a more realistic way, but almost as if they were completely redesigned.

The actual contents of these cutscenes look different as well. I am getting a very "gamecube Metal Gear Solid" feeling from these cutscenes, and not in a good way.

@relkin: You can't buy just this game. This is part of Halo Master Chief Collection and in it is also Halo 1 Remastered.

@rotnac: They have added a prologue and extra intro to fix this.

Miranda looks like an old lady in this, compared to the original where she looked like she was in her late 20's, but other than that i can't stop watching this.

The only thing that could have made this release better is if it was bundled with a clear green plastic Xbox: One.

I wouldn't exactly call that a "fix". Aside from 3 being upscaled, it's going to be unchanged.

Some of the characters look a bit creepy.

ok, I'm actually pretty hyped about this... I know that is party due to nostalgia but I still know I'm going to enjoy the ride again.

To what people have been saying about the faces looking "creepy" or out of sync, it seems like it's probably because they're using the same audio from the original games, which was not recorded with this level of articulation in mind. They certainly don't have the motion capture a modern game would, and they might not even have actual video footage of the actors speaking their lines. Surprisingly, accurately animating dialogue is really, really hard to do without the aid of motion capture.

Dang, that's pretty. And that's about the best lip-syncing I've seen in video games.

I think 343's CGI department may have Blizzard's beaten.

I also noticed that they added about ten years, but I think that was an intentional change. Even in wartime, a twenty-year-old wouldn't be a commander. Also, in making sure I had her rank right, Wikipedia informed me that she's the daughter of Captain Keyes and Catherine Halsey. That's some really dumb, soap opera-level writing.

i don't agree with their character design changes, but the game looks nice, i'll proply just watch the cinematic cut-scenes on youtube and let the game be.

So many great memories, cannot wait to play it again.
