Hayden Panettiere Can't Catch a Break in Until Dawn

If you're going to make a 20 hour qte at least give it an interesting story, I really hope that there's more to this but the fact that they chose this to show off at PSX and the Game Awards is pretty discouraging.

This seems like it will be fun. I'm pretty sure they are setting out to make a silly slasher so all the cliches are intentional.

wouldn't that be a crazy horror game plot? if the main character was being chased and killed but was immortal so they just keep getting up to an endless cycle of getting chased forever? I'd play that 10/10

So this is what happens after the season 4 finale of Heroes then? Not impressed so far, there's a distinct lack of Noah Bennett.

I hope this won't end up a series of QTE's ... because if done right this could be really cool.

This actually looks kinda cool, it even has appropriately terrible horror movie dialogue. "Oh no, I'm so pissed guys! This isn't funny anymore."

I just hope the bad guy doesn't do that bad Jiggsaw impression for the entire game.

Would have been fucking awesome if they got Roger L. Jackson to be the voice of the killer.

I love me a cliched slasher movie so I'm pretty excited for this game. I feel like they've done a good job from what I've seen at nailing the feel of one of these movies. Also props to whoever decided to put a House of the Devil poster in that mini theater.

Heavy Rain meets Saw: probably won't be terrible, but I'm also skeptical that it'll be anything all that special.

Also, keeping your towel perfectly on your bosom doesn't seem like the most important thing to consider when escaping a weird masked psychopath.

I mean, she could have just went back to her room to get her clothes...since she was so worried about them...but that's just me

This looks like some good and dumb fun times, if you ask me.

Instead of showing something a bunch of times in movies, they should talk about how every can survive in this game.

I would play Scream: The Game if they can somehow make it feel as fresh as Scream did at the same time as integrating so many important cliches.

Also, great reproduction of her scapula.

I hope they address the cliches cleverly or knowingly, otherwise this looks a little silly.

This game just looks awful to me, I won't play another Heavy Rain styled game and man the horror cliches.

I like the horror cliches. it means it's more relaxing for me to play.

P.T is utter genius but I just CAN NOT play it.

Hmm, I seem to be the only one who thinks this looks terrible in a terrible way and not terrible in a "bad" it's good kinda way.

In the non QTE sections the animations seems terrible and QTE sequences are the worst thing ever. If you can't make a game scary and intense without having to resort to taking control away from the player then don't even bother.

Was kinda excited for this before since I love a good scary game, now it will go on the forget it ever existed list of games.

Never realized that was Hayden Panettiere until this moment. Also totally didn't know she voiced Kairi from Kingdom Hearts until I went to look it up just now as well. So...that happened...

Anywho, I hope I'm completely wrong about this game and it turns out to be amazing because everything I've seen thus far has left me thoroughly underwhelmed.

@vierastalo: As some one who's actually played it... I'd reel back in your expectations a bit. It sounds cool but its basically cut-scene / quicktime event the video game.

Looks like a mix between a Telltale game and a David Cage game.

Love the concept of this, but I never much cared for the 80's slasher/00's torture-gorefest genres, so guess this isn't really for me. Now if someone would make a good giallo inspired game, where the deaths were actually grotesque, not just cartoonish and the villians scary ass hell mystery men/women and not these pantsy as Micheal Myers impersonators....

That isn't really much of an excuse if the cliches are badly handled. There does exist good slashers you know :)

For sure. I don't think anything in this demo was badly handled, though. I'm actually a big horror movie fan so this game is right up my alley.

The game is supposed to be cliched, right? I don't see how that is a bad thing when it is supposed to be representative of a slasher/horror movie made into a game. To be iconically a horror/slasher themed game is its intention - it seems to do that well.

I'll buy it.

I really love the concept of this game and I don't mind the cliches so much if they lean into the campy horror stuff a bit. But it definitely seems like the kind of the game that could end being real, read bad so fingers crossed.

The developers have been pretty open with the intent of the game. It is 100% supposed to be filled with horror cliches.

So......I'm all for dumb horror film cliches, but does she have to be sexualised in a bathtub from the very start? There are good cliches and bad cliches and that's just kinda bothersome.

In any case, it seems somewhat interesting? I would hope that it does some more things to freshen up the gameplay over the course of he experience, but I like the idea of Scream: The Videogame.
