Hellraid Is a Pretty Good Dumb Name for a Video Game

Still not as bad as Warface.

Dark Messiah was the first thing to pop into my mind, wouldn't mind more of that type-y.

I was actually kind of impressed with this.

I really like the little touches, like countering someone's sword strike and batting it away and people actually ducking under your sword when you swing. It seems like I never see that in first person combat and it usually ends up just being two people running into each other swinging wildly like in Skyrim's melee combat.

I was actually going into this not thinking I would be impressed.....but I'm IMPRESSED!!! Maybe it is their "A" team working on it and hopefully have learned from the first game. Oh how I hope it's 4 player co-op too!

At first I thought it said "Hellrad", which would have been pretty great.

@mcderby4: If anything try buying Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen. Not only does it campaign the full original game but also a new area full of new items and enemies - AND it's only about $40 new!

Does Techland have an A-team? I've heard the Giant Bomb guys say that the quality of Techland stuff is all over the place, as if some is good and some is bad. But seriously, what is their good stuff?

The earlier Call of Juarez games were decent, I guess. And while they certainly threw time and money at Dead Island, it still seemed like the kind of amateurish open world game that a B-team would come up with. Techland still seems like a studio full of B-teams.

@bisonhero: I think good is relative here. Techland has done some truly awful games as well as some average to good games. The good ones would probably be Chrome, Call of Juarez Bound in Blood, and maybe Dead Island. Can't say I've ever honestly enjoyed a Techland game. But maybe they'll do something right one day.
