Hoping it runs well on PC because it looks so nice. This game looks fun.

Perhaps (I don't know) but AC and Ubi games in general always get this marketing push... how many times have we seen Watch Dogs now?

@mrfluke: I think AC3 is the reason for all the marketing. It's them saying "Um, yeah, sorry about that. Hey, check out this rain! Almost makes you forget about the writing in the last one, huh?"

Okay, how many times did he use the word "immersion"? It does look really pretty, though.

I'm currently playing AC3 as part of Playstation Plus and it's amazing how much better Black Flag looks on PC and next gen.

looking at the Ac4 page and the Watch Dogs page on GB (cause i didnt know either), We havent gotten a new watch dogs trailer in over a month, while Ac4 they have dropped a trailer almost every week since august.

Could be too that AC is out end of next month, and starting next week GTA is gonna occupy a lot of peoples minds for a good while.

to the very least highly doubt we'ill see a trailer next week :P

@aelric: its a good move, i as well was all fuck assassins creed after the 3rd one cause what they did to that universe in that game was downright abysmal.

but after the barrage of trailers we're seeing im willing to give the series one more chance.

The more I played of AC3, the more graphical hideousness reveals itself. It's the PS3 version, the series has always had a weak framerate on that platform so that wasn't a surprise, but the ugly texture work and basic character and environment models were. It makes me fear how Black Flag is going to look away from these carefully constructed trailers.

I still have it on pre-order though. I'm weak.

They should really advertise this more. Maybe put out more videos.

More next-gen games should have trailers like this showcasing exactly why they're "next gen" and not just another number in the series.

I believe what's being shown in this trailer for the sole reason that it's coming from Ubisoft. All of those technical changes and "innovations" in different engines would take a huge amount of resources and Ubisoft has been spreading out work load over multiple studios for some time now. If any other publisher had a video like this, I would be super skeptical.

Since when did the Far Cry 3 universe intersect with Assassin's Creed?

Enough though I'm a fairweather AC fan, this does look pretty interesting.

I get that people didn't like 3 (and really, rightfully so) but I think this game looks way better. I hope its good and if so, people give it a chance.

On a basic level, an open world pirate game like this has so much potential. I think AC III's early American setting sounded cool on paper, but in reality it was pretty terrible for an AC game. Lame, super hokey historical tie ins and the layout of the cities, which was terrible for the urban traversal, in particular.

But there were many other issues. It seems they have heard the criticisms.

My question is though, what is all that running on? A really good PC? PS4? Xbox One? Will the next-gen console versions look like that?

What is this I'm feeling. Am I maybe starting to be interested in Black Flag. Damn Ubisoft's plan of just make a billion trailers is starting to pay off.

Looks solid, I am digging the Far Cry-esque world. AC3 was okay, and I'm willing to pick this up on PC after I get through the essentials like Watch Dogs, Rayman, and whatever I pick up on Wii U (probably Mario 3D World.)

Exactly what I was thinking. I feel like even your average person can understand why this stuff is such an improvement and should be recognized as valuable.

Next gen graphics sure do look real nice. I wonder how poor this'll all look in 5 years when everyone's figured out how to use the new consoles properly. Like how at the time Kameo and Perfect Dark 0 looked really really nice but have aged terribly. Well, Perfect Dark 0 has, I bet Kameo still looks pretty great.
