I still don't get if this is the same game as Ground Zeroes or not. Both trailers have featured Big Boss and i'm assuming the guy with the wrap on his face in "The Phantom Pain" trailer was the same guy in Ground Zeroes was burnt to hell.

EDIT (3/28): Actually, Konami is now saying that Kojima misspoke during the presentation and that MGS: Ground Zeroes and MGS5: The Phantom Pain are in fact two separate games.

EDIT 2 (3/28): That Konami PR person that said they were two separate games might have been misinformed, so basically I have no clue if they'll be sold as separate games or together as one game.

This also has fire horse and quite a couple of new things.

In the battle of the trailers, MGSV knocks BF4's teeth into the middle of next week.

Yeah, Ground Zeroes exists, it's just it's a prologue mission within the full MGSV Phantom Pain game, most likely similar to, say, The Tanker mission in MGS2.

He'll be in as a young Solid Snake. The ruse is not yet over. This trickery is rivaling MGS2.

Master Miller?!

So my guess would be post MG1/2 Pre MGS Big Boss in a coma relieving altered memories from his past (The Boss' Horse, the burning figure in Big Boss' sneaking suit (he is burnt to death in the MSX game) Possibly in the interim years between MG1 and 1 with Big Boss rebuilding his fortress. and forming his close bond with Master Miller (would explain how liquid was so easily able to kill him if he looks like BB's son.

Let me guess. BF4 shows a beautiful trailer and people can't wait to complain about the lack of freedom. MGS shows a beautiful trailer and people can't wait to praise everything.

Yup, expectations at play.

Metal Gear Solid and the character of Solid Snake (played by Hayter) are a large part of why I became the game enthusiast I am. That said, the quality of voice actors in many modern games have outstripped Hayter for a long time now. He is iconic as Snake, sure, but he's not a very good voice actor. I say that with love.

I don't like the voice at the end. At least not if it's supposed to be Snake. I get that David Hayter isn't coming back but they could have found someone who sounded closer and older. Big Boss is what, late 50s by that point, maybe even 60s.

Edit: It sounds a lot like the guy who does the cockney voice in Saints Row The Third. The sound of the voice at least.

Yeah, that's Robin Atkin Downes. He's carrying on the role of Master Miller from Peace Walker. You do hear a bit of this new Snake during an additional gameplay trailer, though. That is of course is this'll truly be permanent. It could be a placeholder, or they could just be setting up the possibility of David voicing Solid Snake as he stars on screen alongside Big Boss.
