17 minutes for a pretty imperfect play though seems solid. I cant to take ours to figure out how to do the missions on silent assassin.

Whenever I see stuff about the Nuns, I cringe. Whenever they show playthroughs of missions, I can't wait to get my hands on it. Hopefully there won't be a lot of the gun nuns in the game.

Seems pretty great...lots of options and ways to 'come back' from mistakes. I picked up Blood Money recently and the fail states are so darn absolute, it gets kind of frustrating.

Oh no guys, remember, how that nuns trailer ruined the game, how it's SO awful. Man that marketing trailer oh no .. oh ...oh no so bad.. game is so bad where is the stealth... they ruined Hitman..

I know it's in the interest of momentum to have 47 automatically switch clothing like that, but considering how far they appear to be going with all these little details, It feels outdated and kind of jarring. Even if they just did a quick fade out, fade in when changing disguises, I think it would preserve some the immersion without hurting the gameplay too much.

This gameplay video, as well as the inclusion of Purist mode, shows me that the devs are committed to making a good Hitman game as well as addressing the common complains people had about it. I will get this.

They've really got to do something about the costume changes - it was janky in the previous games, but they have a chance to remedy that. I'd settle for a MGS4-esque active camo effect that changes your suit to their suit, even if it doesn't really make sense within the game world. Of all current games, Hitman is one of the most game-y, so it could make something like that work.

Also, I totally love the "instinct shooting" that's been featured in a few games before, like Splinter Cell, but while it looks cool and makes you feel powerful, it's basically a win button that makes the game too easy and goes against the puzzle approach of Hitman. I guess it's an option I won't be using.

Wow, super impressive. Game looks awesome but how many levels could there be if they're all so detailed?

Also, some weird logic: The first target is on a phone, but the person at the other end thinks nothing of their choking death or the line going dead. The third target is crushed by a car in the shop, but the cops don't think it's weird that a mechanic walks out?

Hate to nitpick, but they're clearly trying hard to make these systems feel "real," and the realer the systems seem, the more frustrating it is as a player to run into Game Walls, so to speak.

I'm really glad they have escalating, dynamic alert levels for each individual NPC, as explained with the cop and the radio, instead basically having a "setalertmode = true" type of thing where the AI are all apparently telepathic. F*cking hate that.

The "instinct mode" should be labeled easy mode, and the default should have that all removed. Those features are for people who can't stand to play anything thats not a linear action game. That is not what Hitman is about.

The levels still seem sort of small with with less challenging objectives. Still need to see if the levels are really as big as the old Hitman games. A lot of the obviously new fans here have no perspective on this.

The music sounds generic and pretty bad without the old composer Jesper Kyd, just generic suspense music. Additionally, they are just reusing the Blood Money Hitman theme now (something they never did before) which is pretty lame, they always had nearly all new music in each game before.

The old voice actor was a much better fit as well.

Otherwise it looks like it has many of the elements of an old Hitman game. Without the old voice actor and composer it's missing some important elements. Hopefully the gameplay and level design holds up.

I never understood why they didn't just have 47 go off-camera then reappear with the disguise on.
