Looks pretty awesome. I think I'm just going to like having a more colorful environment than the bland one in 2.

Fuckin' shark at the end made me almost die because of my phobia of sharks.

I can't wait to be hang-gliding while tripping balls on island shrooms and killing all the Tigers. All of them.

I, too, immediately thought of Kinectimals upon seeing the thumbnail. I feel programmed and ashamed...

This trailer makes me more excited for Far Cry 3 than several of the previous ones. Definitely still looking forward to this game.

MOTHERFUCKING GAME OF THE YEAR ALL YEARS

I turned on Far Cry 2 the other day and was instantly reminded of why I didn't like Far Cry 2. I shot 5 or 6 dudes, which was fine even with my terrible gun, then spent 15 minutes getting a mission which turned out to be on the other side of the map. The thought of driving that far made me turn the game off and put it back on my shelf.

I hope Far Cry 3 fixes this somehow. Maybe a bit smaller game world with more detail will do it some good, or a better means of getting around the game world than 2 had.

@triviaman09: They fixed it. Kind of. You can quick travel any area as long as you discovered it first. Another thing they fixed is that if you take out an enemy post, then that post would be free of enemies for now on.

Man, I hope this game is really good, because the trailers are getting me so fucking excited for it. The potential here is insane.

Also, the thumbnail totally reminded me of Kinectimals.

This looks freaking awesome, but I'll still try to keep my expectations down.

Fucking gamestop i don't mind exclusive MP maps but exclusive SP missions?! Ugh.. Game look good though, seems more faithful to the original Far Cry.

Could've done without the narration, but it's just a trailer of course. I hope this takes as many cues from the ambition and beauty of Far Cry 2 as possible, and irons out the obvious tedium.

The "gritty" makeover is appalling and juveline...but the gameplay parts look a whole lot more like Far Cry 2 than I had anticipated. And at least in my book, that's very high praise indeed.

Happy to see they still have you snapping your fingers back in place.

I really loved Far Cry 2, but the thing it was always missing was wildlife. A couple of Zebras didnt cut it for Africa.

It makes me sad that there isn't a new xbox out now, the developers have the resources and talent to make some amazing looking games right now.

As long as it is cool in the weird, crazy ways Far Cry 2 was and improves upon it, looks like something special.

Ok it all makes sense now, the main protagonist is not some frat boy tourist turned rambo, he's a some sort of undercover agent.

Far Cry 2 had a lot of good stuff going for it, but the respawning checkpoints and that stupid malaria mechanic made me lose interest. I hated having to get out of my jizeep and waste dudes every 10 seconds when I was trying to get somewhere. I will definitely check FC3 out if I hear that those issues are gone.

Kinectimals just got real!

Farcry has always been a divisive franchise, I hope this turns out well. It definitely has some cool ideas and a lot of potential, but we'll just have to wait and see how it pans out.

Makeover? If anything this seems lighter than Farcry 2.

Well it looks like they got the animal stuff they planned for far cry 2 working. Imo this game will either be a great success or a giant flop, no in-between. I fear that it will be the latter, but I hope that it will be the former. If the writing in this trailer is anything to go by, then at least the story of fc3 is going to pretty bad.

I'd pre-order it if I could be guaranteed more sideboob. Far Cry 2 was the first game I got for my then-new PS3 - I was somewhat disappointed. I hope this to be better, but I am weary.

I don't like the narrator in this trailer. He thinks he's so damn witty with all his metaphors.
