Heroes and Heralds Fight It Out in Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

This mode seems really cool.

This looks like it'll be an interesting change of pace from the very hardcore, often cutthroat nature of the multiplayer. Could be a lot of fun, and more importantly, a refuge for less skilled players to keep an equal playing field.

Ummm I assume parrying is just for the DLC surely we would have heard about it if it was actually being added to the main component of the game.

I think this mode seems really cool. Collecting things in games is always appealing to me. Maybe now Mega Man will be a card just to stick it to everyone who wants him as a character. I'm just glad this is free so people won't complain as much about it.

Also,the homage to EVO Moment 37 at the end is pure gold.

That ending was pretty damn nice. This could be fun.

I think that's the general term for those going against Galactus and his heralds.

What they did thar at the end. I see it.

I like things like this: components that actually break the normal game for the times when you just want to goof off, like the Unlimited versions of characters in Blazblue.

This mode is not for the "super" hardcore in the first place.

I hope that there's a way to play this locally with a buddy, because at this point I refuse to play MvC3 online. I always get curb stomped into oblivion, and that's no fun.

The super hardcore will be busy playing actual tournaments online to care about this stuff. (provided the netcode has actually been improved).

@Mesoian: The thing that's probably going to push me "over the edge" will be when the officially unveil Frank. His not being in the original game was my biggest complaint, and yeah. Frank West. He's covered wars, you know.

Shadow mode is free, and then we got shadow mode packs.

Great ending. Makes me want actual parrying though, with combos this long it could get insane.

I like the assist cards, gives everyone a chance to see some of their favorite characters even if they can't be fighters.

This was already my most hyped game of the year, and it's just getting better and better. Phoenix Wright (my favorite Capcom character) is everything I wanted him to be and then some, and now I've got this awesome new mode to fuck around with along with being able to be Galactus. And of course the 11 other characters, which look amazing.

I really don't care about people saying that MvC3 was a "beta" and it's bullshit they're releasing another version. The 200+ hours I put into MvC3, I believe more than any other game this generation, was 60 dollars well spent. And the 200+ more that I'll put into this one, probably 100+ into Wright alone, will for sure be worth another 40 dollars.

Hell, honestly I would've payed 60 bucks for the original MvC3 even if they told me this one was coming when I bought it just so I could play it throughout this time. It's that fun.

Damn, this looks like it could be fun.

Are the Heralds the ones with the new abilities or is this an all around new set of mechanics? Gameplay wise I'd say that's a bum rap, but at least it would make sense in universe. I know these games are pretty fast and loose, but you'd think beings charged with the Power Cosmic would have SOME edge on their other fighters. I mean a team of 3 Heralds really ought to be almost unbeatable anyways (about the only canon Marvel team even having a chance would be the Defenders, I guess the Avengers too if they called in everyone)...even in a wonky situation where you fight their boss and can handily win.

"Defend the Earth!" seems like a lot of pressure to put on someone every time they play a match.

In before they try to sell more fighting games with that EVO moment.

Shoulda called it "Kill the Messenger" mode.

Bypassing whether the game is good or not, I really miss the Wolverine voice acting from the first and second game.

I rather wait for the Ultimate Heroes and Heralds version....>_>

i don't think capcom got the memo that not all heralds of galactus are silver... only the silver serfer is.
