Hitman Double Agents: The Broker

I just failed this mission because I couldn't find the guy and got the shits and started stabbing everyone.

Am interested to see how they go!

Vid was great, and Vinny was an amazing addition [He was a "better" coach than even Dan, and I couldn't believe it], however they need to nail down the rules in future ones. Just a quick opinion:

Judging should only count in the case of Even mission completion. If neither complete the mission/objectives, or both complete it. Then it should be decided if it is all or nothing on the mission [like Jeff originally had it], or partial objective completion counts. If partial objective completion counts, then Brad should auto win there for at least killing the guy, while dan didn't actually complete either objective. While if it was Jeff's rule Dan would win because he actually had way more style, mechanics, ect [Brad just shot a guy and ran to a box then died shortly after getting out, that was all]. I voted for Brad to win because it seemed partial mission completion counted this time, but it was unclear and if not I would have voted for Dan if it was done all or nothing like Jeff had it.

Then, if both are equal in how it is decided the objectives are judged, then the judges should step in with the system, and ignore dumb hitman scoring system. Either way would work but it is something that the GB crew needs to decide and agree on. If the person DOES get full silent assassin in their skill, that should be counted in the judge decision, but so should interesting style and so forth. This makes it far mroe dynamic and interesting of a feature. The judges should pick, and no picking "tie" like vinny did. Chat can be the tiebreaker in a poll as well. But each coast judge must pick one of the guys.

This creates an interesting risk reward. For example, Brad could just go for a quick pistol kill, which would guarentee him a victory if Dan doesn't get a kill by failing in a more flamboyant way, but if Dan succeeds against Brad's bland pistol kill, then Dan should win because he did a more interesting way of doing it.

Nail down the rules of how starting stuff works. Either decide they have to use only what the other guy can use [which even in the Gary Busy Brad used stuff Dan didn't have access to for killing the guy], or let them use anything they unlock and encourage playing in their offtime to unlock more. A more firm decision needs to be decided on this one.

I loved this vid but the rules really need to be nailed down, because seriously if you watch it the actual rules to that changed multiple times throughout which was very unfair, especially to Dan becasue if the rules were solid he probably would have even played different. But then the rules got changed. Seriously Dan was playing with one set of judging rules, and then when Brad started the rules were changed which made it very unfair to Dan.

Finally please don't go by the hitman score rules. If it is done super smoothly silent assassin that should count, but the actual hitman points system is totally an unfun way to watch these vids if THAT is what breaks a tie, and would make these a lot less fun set of videos to watch I feel.

I know this is all just for fun even though this looks like I am taking it way too seriously, but it still is a friendly competition. If the rules are so unclear and changing through the thing it takes a lot away from the video. I am actually going to watch this again now as it was excellent. Some of my favorite Giant Bomb content to date.

The rules should just be a chat vote at the end every time. That way they both have to play up to the fans :D.

Half of the next "Best of Giant Bomb" is just going to be Dan and Vinny's part of this video.

This was hilarious, I would love to watch another video of Dan and Vinny playing this but on a regular mission just so they can mess it up all they want.

I just failed this one myself. Nabbed the egg from the safe with relative ease, then thought I was going to be a cool guy and expose that wire out by the puddle of water where the target smokes... but then ended up electrocuting myself in the process. Pro strats.

Anyway, this was an amazing stream. Dan and Vinny are such a beautifully chaotic combination, and this approach to the elusive targets continues to be super fun to watch.

Nice that Brad and Dan can still compete, even though Dan is now in New York.

These are so much fun! Much prefer Brad vs Dan, than Dan "helps" Brad.

Also man, Brad was super close to his original outfit. Had he remembered, he could of just changed back into that instead of risking it all for another costume.

@alavapenguin: I'm with you, this series is amazing but they really need to nail down some actual rules, personally I think I'd prefer that they didn't even have a fan vote, that requires everyone watching/voting to both a) know and understand the judging criteria and b) not be biased.

There does seem to be a good amount of people who can't stand Dan so I could imagine a number of people voting for Brad just to spite him, and the inverse as well people who like Dan and want him to win so choose him. Maybe have a fan vote just for the record like the peoples champ and the actual "winner".

But more importantly is getting an actual rule set going. I voted for Dan today because his was way more entertaining and all Brad did was shoot the guy plainly. It's an interesting debate in this case, should a relatively simple pistol kill of a target be worth more than style. I can see a good argument for both sides personally.

Had fun with this one but new rules please. Point 1 needs to be if no one does it no one wins. Brad didn't pull anything off.

Dan has finally met his match. Vinny is way more sneaky and conniving than Dan is. Vinny tricked Dan several times in this video. Dan+Vinny combo for life!

I dont really see how everyone says Vinny is trolling Dan. Apart from the funny "kill him, kill him" all the time he is actually helping Dan with vital things that Dan misses. Brad never gets any usefull tips or info from Dan.

I caught this live so I'm here just to see how smoothly that transition ended up when they cut from the East feed to the West feed. Definitely wasn't like a 20 minute period in between or anything...

This is great! The way the video is set up it looks like Brad and Vinny are sitting next to each other. At one point Vinny starts kissing the imaginary wall between Brad and himself and it's fucking priceless!

I'm really liking the Dan and Vinny dynamic. Kinda makes me want Dan to stick over on East forever.

I would have voted Team Dan if I had the chance, much more fun and dare I say it "chic" run.

So many episodes, and the whole trespassing and dots and vision markers to denote who's about to see through your nasty evil plans is still a mystery. The hilarity never ends.

Did either Dan or Brad get an actual score from the game? The game does have built in scoring. I don't recall seeing the number of points they were awarded.

I was in the chat and voted for Brad because he killed the target. If Dan had killed the target or gotten the egg I would have considered it a tie.

I don't think either Vinny or Dan are familiar enough with the game to realize that running around in a costume/ disguise is not that big of a deal. Each map has several costumes - most of which are more fun than the Shiek in my opinion. So the costume didn't earn any points from me.

Also, I think Vinny helped Dan though in the end it didn't matter. I think Vinny tried to warn Dan about the guys in the room. But Dan moved too quickly.

Dan and Vinny literally walked right pass the safe. They got distracted cause Vinny was laughing at the guards going "As-Salaum Alaykum". It was in that room, Dhalia's office. When Dan won the auction and they said Go to her office, I was sure they would see the safe but nope.

When watching Brad play I was thinking even if he got away from the security, there is no way he would have figured out how to get to the egg. It would have taken him at least another hour. I would have loved to see it happen though.

@dovah: In elusive targets if you die you don't get a score. Only if you complete the mission.

This coast-to-coast stuff is very cool.

Like it literally came up as 'Trespassing' on the minimap, it said 'Found Trespassing' on screen, and they were in the process of trying to escort Dan out. He ran and it went wrong. It was fucking hilarious though.

@malvernrob: oh that makes sense. Thanks. So why do they need a winner, they both failed? I guess requiring a winner makes the competition more fun for everyone.

These would be better if Brad and Vinny knew the map well. My guess is the elusive target is a way to keep the interest of experienced players and not knowing the map is a big handicap.

Honestly, i think that the chat is reasonable enough to let the right person win it.

I doubt that anyone enjoyed Brad's run more than Dan's run, but it's about who's better. Not about who brings the most entertainment. Entertainment is valued in the equation though. If Brad didn't kill the guy, Dan would have ran away with this one.

Brad. I think you had the right idea with the way you went about doing things. But remember, you beat Dan two times in a row and that's all that matters in these head-to-head episodes.
