Hitman: Elusive Target: The Twin

Well this came out of nowhere. I hope they do the Gary Busey one that's running for a week from July 21st.

I got Hitman this past weekend and this was my first elusive target.

Lesson learned: Don't start shooting your gun in a crowd. I got the right guy, but everyone else got me right after.

I boasted that I would do better than Brad/Dan even without really playing the game before. And it turns out we did the exact same thing.

Surprised to the runtime on this is more than 5 minutes.

Thats Hitman, man!

Well... I mean the video isn't 2 minutes long so I guess Brad did okay!

@ivdamke: I mean they HAVE to do the Garey Busey one right? I don't even think that's an optional thing at this point.

Oh my god, yes... I can not wait to see how this turns out.

Listening to Dan would have probably paid off

I would have taken Dan's advice. He is the stealth expert after all.

Why would they be at the mansion? Why did you go to the icecream shoppe? Why...why...I really shouldn't question any of their decisions, that's probably the best for my health.

Edit; Okay, I take some of that back. Still, you guys with your crazy methods...though as of usual, it provides good content in the end.

I'm glad they figured out the briefing video gives clues on where the target will be.

YES I haven't watched it yet, but I am so glad this is back!!1 Even the elusive targets are great to watch these guys do.

There strikes good old Brad "Deer in the Headlights" Shoemaker. Haha it is so great how he just freezes at indecision points, or has guys actively pulling out guns and he is sneaking around like no one knows he is there. Seriously though, if he would have listened to dan he could have gotten away. If he DARTED to the ally, at worst it would have gone to hunted, and he would have very likely gotten away in this game. But running through the open area like that was sure death. Just break line of sight right away if you are going for a kill like that and you can get away easy.

Hopefully they do learn that you should almost never use guns in a Hitman game. (Or at least plan out an escape route before you do!)

Looking at the total length of the video I can't wait to see what happens XD

In the older game you could carry things in brefcses. They added gameplay things but also removed some.

The new game also makes you walk to certain parts of the level for certain npcs to interact. In the olders games usually the characters would just be walking around from the start.

Also the older games usually had more correct accents if not languages.

My expert analysis of all of the Brad-led Hitman videos is that he fails so much because he ignores Dan's mostly good advice.

I ended up succeeding at this by fucking up a strangling by getting caught, getting into combat/hunted mode, taking a train of guards to the safe house/apartment building, and losing them so that The Twins were left wandering around on their routine alone. I then found the right time to stick the right one in the back with the poison-filled needle and running off to the exit before anybody could take me out.

That same basic idea of messing up the guards is also how I took out the target before this.

I can't wait for Gary Busey as an Elusive Target on Thursday.

I like that they both said there's no way you could snipe the dude from the balcony above the safe house when that's exactly what I did. The zoom is good enough to look at the wrist and figure out which one is the target. Either way, definitely the best attempt by Brad and Dan yet, Brad definitely just needs to play more and learn the maps perfectly. Gary Bussey better be on the lookout.

In my mind's eye, I can see Brad's hands start shaking.

Ah, Brad... You have to use your silenced pistol more. You could've taken that guy out at the end with your pistol. If you get the silenced handgun with 20 rounds, you would've been able to dispatch everyone on your way to an exit.

Brad is so nervous during this game all the time. It really makes me anxious. I love the bit of serendipity halfway through though. Best thing about this game.

This was funny initially but now I just find it frustrating watching these.

Brad said himself in previous videos how fast you die in gun fight then in this video he decided to stand ground.

Not too bad an attempt all things considered. This basically how I did it. The exit strategy was not well thought out though. Dan had the right idea even if he was pointing toward a dead end (or a locked door you should've unlocked before hand). Make sure you have a safe exit next time you pop a shot out in open like that.

Use the batman vision to slow down time and think through your options. You can also track alerted guards that way. That's how I knew the guy that killed brad was not hostile for me when I exited the terrasse trough the public bathroom

Also, I hate to say it but Dan was right at the end. The best thing you can do in this game when your cover is blown is to break line of sight and change disguises or just leave the area and extract on the other side of the map. Alerted status doesn't travel long distances so if you can break line of sight and run to the harbor or something you most likely won't have the guards over there recognize you.

So close.

That strategy was totally valid. This is how I did it. You just need to make sure you have

1. A clear shot at medium range without any guards close to you or looking at you.
2. A good exit that breaks line of sight

After you break line of sight you either find a new disguise or run to another extraction point on the other side of the level. Hunted status doesn't propagate very far so you can just find a back alley and move to the other side of the level after beaking LOS the guards over there won't be suspicious of you.

@crippl3: I was thinking the same thing and yes... yes it was.

Ah damn I wish I had known this -- I thought hunted status was global. Would've made Dan's suggestion to break right down that alleyway more sensible. I really gotta play more of this game before the next one.

I'm waiting for one of Danbots questions to be, 'Brad, what is love? I mean he's got Sherbert and a loose understanding of frozen confectionary under his belt now.
