I started this mission at the front door in the tux. Snuck around the back to look for Helmut. I took out the guard, stole his uniform, and Helmut walked inside. Helmut was stuck on his phone, so I went upstairs because I could. I could not get to the 3rd floor because everyone was suspicious. But I watched a waiter go upstairs. So, I found a room with a waiter and guard, knocked out the waiter while the guard was on the balcony and then took out the guard, hid both. Somewhere around here I found the key to the speedboat. Next, I found out I would get frisked so I went back to where the waiter was, made a pile of hammers and scissors and my gun, made it to the 3rd floor. I found a room with a woman in it and a guard on a balcony, took out the guard, then the woman because she walks outside on occasion, dressed as the guard and walked into the attic. I knocked out the two guards outside the door, opened the door, the guard was staring at me so I threw a hammer at him. I closed the door as both hackers started freaking out. White Cap tried to run so I punched him and knocked him out. Black Hat then did the same. I snapped Black Hat's neck and disabled security, made my way back to the waiter uniform, made my way back to my weapons, went all of the way back to my tuxedo and put it back on because I wanted to leave in the tuxedo. I walked behind the helicopter, down the stairs, and took the boat out.

It still amazes me how many of the core mechanics Brad fails to understand after playing so much. Still love this series though.

  1. I boot up Hitman for the first time in weeks to do this Elusive Target.
  2. I press E instead of Q to subdue a guard; nothing happens.
  3. I promptly fail the fisticuffs QTE and die.

In short, I can't complain about Brad's Hitman skills anymore.

What happened to Jeff's voice around 24:32? He says "Vampire Magician" in the weirdest way. Kinda sounds like Jason speaking the same line?

Oh man when I saw the length of the video I didn't think Brad was going to succeed. But he did it! Good job, Brad.

The dialogue between the hackers is perfect. It's a delightful play on mainstream media's portrayal of computing.

The writing/dialog in the entire game is almost perfect!

Thank you El Jeffe. For keeping Brad's indecisiveness and trepidation to a minimum in this one, although they were definitely still frustrating bursts of it along the way!

Brad is forever bound to the life of Helmut Kruger, I now need artwork of Brad as Agent 47 as Helmut Kruger.

I would commission someone to do this--I want it so much; if only I had the money to spend for someone to do it.

Wow , Brad is getting good at this.

Where Dan often let's Brad do his thing while placing general remarks about what would be a funny thing to do, Jeff just gives basic commands to Brad which makes him execute them without much doubt.

This is the second best Brad's done so far, next to the Gary Busey target. He still needs to learn the mechanics a bit but he's getting better.

I really want to see him try to tackle the Vampire Magician Challenges, but those might be too much. Maybe when Dave Lang is back in the house he can coach him on taking those on?

This was actually the hardest elusive target for me. I didn't recognize the location AT ALL so it took me forever just to find it, then I had so much trouble handling the guards, woof! Still, though, I finally made it in, killed the target, and escaped as Helmut just like Brad did. Good job, I really did not expect you to do so well so quickly! Looks like you're turning into a real Hitman.

yeah could you guys actually sit down with this for more than 5 minutes and learn some basics. Someones literally made a video directed at you, sure it can be amusing at points but its quickly losing its charm, with 2 more locations left and atleast 3-4 more illusive targets I'd appreciate a bump up in skill, especially given we all pay a premium.

@truthsponge: why do want Brad/Dan to get "good" at this game? The reason why they are so popular on this site is because they don't know what they're doing and yet (occasionally) succeed. It's why their success (and at times their failures) are so popular as videos.

Having Brad and Dan "understand" Hitman would simply relegate then to the standard Hitman YouTubers.

I don't ever want them to know what their doing. THATS WHAT MAKES THESE VIDEOS AWESOME.

@w00master: there's a difference between getting "good" and being able to look at the minimap and realize when it says TRESSPASSING you're, well, trespassing.

I'm kinda glad that Brad and Dan don't have level 20 mastery on any of the maps. The advantages it offers on some level trivializes these elusive targets.

The thing about that video is that it claims it would be rediculous to get shot at when they find you trespassing. But at the same time, the game is totally cool with you running around in an outfit of a famous person, without the make up on, after numerous crimes have been committed. So i feel like knowing what would be rediculous and what not is already murky when it comes to Hitman.

@dizzuncan: it doesnt really help for this one though. Getting to the attic is trivial if you know what you're doing, and by the time you're level 20 you probably do (IAGO invitation, shiek, Helmut Kruger, auction staff, CICADA bodyguard all get you to the top floor, and then you basically can just do what brad did)

These are going more and more smoothly. I should rewatch Brad's first attempt at this game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this be his game of the year, to be honest, he seems to love everything about it.

Ok here is why Brad was compromised at the end in the bodyguard disguise. The guys Brad hammered outside the hacker room "compromised him" by seeing his actions. Despite knocked out they remember 47. If they are put in a body box or killed the compromise state disappears. But as long as nobody finds the bodies and wakes them up your "compromised state" is not an issue.

I finally got Hitman this past week, so I finally got a chance to do the Elusive Target before they did.

I just jumped into it without even doing the story mission so I went in 100% cold on Paris and... well, I killed the target but it was an unmitigated disaster otherwise lol. So here's hoping they do a lot better than I did (gonna watch it now).

EDIT: ok Brad (with a big thanks to Jeff) did it a lot better than I did.

@visualizer: Irrationally angry? Chooses to play? How can one person be so wrong? I can't speak for others, but I just wrote a flippant reply after watching (and enjoying) the video (it's why I've been a premium subscriber for years). It's not about choosing to play, it's about understanding the fundamental gameplay mechanics. Imagine playing an RTS without knowing how the minimap works, or a shooter without knowing how to manually reload. It'd be more fun if you did, for both player and viewer.

@w00master: making your point in all caps doesnt make it true , BUT THATS WHAT MAKES IT AWESOME!(sarcasm)

But seriously..

People want different things than what you want. People have different expectations for paid premium content than you do. If you think this is the golden formula for video content then I am happy for you.

I know argument is stupid but somehow Complaining about brad being bad at games seems less reductive than questioning why people would ever want him to be good.

I would rather enjoy this series legitimately than ironically. That being said I did enjoy this and have long since stopped complaining , I am just responding because this exact set of comments happens every episode, someones gotta do it. oh wait @borklund just did it for me , but i typed this wall of text so gg.

Even though it follows real-life logic, the idea that this game chooses to constantly inform you that your disguise is compromised to an NPC who is no longer with us is nonsensical, never explained in any of the game's official tutorials, and not what compromised really means. Anyone using this to whine about Brad's obliviousness is just looking to be an antagonistic, joyless, know-it-all.

@yummytreesap: The idea that the game informs you that your disguise is compromised to an NPC who is dead is not true. Brad was compromised to the CICADA Bodyguards outside the target's room (who were unconscious, not dead).

The case that proves Dan is not a good coach at all. Perhaps it is his ploy to weaken Brad so that he finally fails in a Double Agent contest.

Seriously, the Hitman videos are great to watch in the morning and just light your day.
