Wow, how did you get to that conclusion? It didn't come off to me like that at all. That almost seems more telling of you than anything. "Cream their pants," seriously? All things considered, the women in this trailer are way more tastefully dressed than most women in video games, not to mention realistically proportioned. They don't have overly sexualized enormous breasts or anything like that. And even though they're all dressed in leather it never came across to me as overtly filthy. I got the vibe that these were some badass girls ready to do work on old Agent 47.

Even though it was made by a VFX company the idea still came from the game development house. The Hitman series has always dealt with seedy underground things of this nature. This is no departure.

I was hardly looking at the women and I had to rewatch it just to make sure I didn't somehow miss some grotesquely sexist female objectification. I didn't find any and I think you blew it way out of proportion. I was however gushing over the lighting and effects. The way the water splashed on his pistols and the way the cloth animated as he pulled his shirt off. Everything was fucking awesome and gorgeous. But maybe that's just because I happen to be a 3D fx artist as well.

Yeah, this trailer seems very Hitman-ish. Assassins dressed as nuns, and they brought plenty of firepower because they knew who they were going up against. Remember the last trailer, where he killed 74 cops and then just walked out of the building, which was still full of cops, all of whom knew that some dude just killed 74 cops in the same building?

Yeah, that's a game where I can believe a bunch of assassin nuns firebombing a hotel to flush out one man.

SOMEONE PUT THIS TRAILER TO "POWER" ALREADY GODDAMMIT!

I can accept the whole "murder-nun" scenario, but why the fuck are they dressed like prostitutes? Fishnet isn't going to protect you from bullets.

Now I'm going to play Blood Money that I bought off Steam and never got to.

One of the pricks designing the game confirms no trial and error, sandboxes, or original gameplay in Hitman: Absolution because it was too hard for frat boys. I have no hopes for this.

Seeing him kick those chick's ass was incredibly satisfying even if it's not representative of the final game at all.

Come on people, it's a CG trailer. Making a purchase based on that is the equivalent of buying a case of Bud Light and expecting one of those insane parties populated only by hot chicks to break out in your house. What the ad is selling is completely divorced from the actual product, only instead you spend 60 bucks instead of 20. And you don't even get drunk.

I think the main character is the worst part of this. I was totally set to play Fetish-Nun-Assassin-Squad. That idea has potential.

Why bother with disguises when all you're gonna do is walk onto a parking lot and fire an RPG into a building?

Well, 'tastefully dressed' is perhaps a relative term in this case, but I agree they're not 'revealing' and are not ridiculously proportioned. But they are wearing latex/leather dominatrix gear, which is by definition of a sexual nature. When they remove the nun habits, the camera focuses almost exclusively on their breasts or crotches. 47 assaults them in an up close and violent manner - perfectly acceptable, because fucking people up is what he does, but by already bringing up the domination thing with the uniforms, the sexual connotation to the violence is, while not exactly overt, definitely there.

This is a very high quality video from a technical standpoint, and I totally understand why you would find that aspect so appealing. I just didn't care for the rest of it, and because I understand that a lot of work went into making this - much more than it would take to do a racy music video, for instance - I had more of a problem with it than I usually would have.

Man remember when the hitman series was considered dry and cerebral?

Nuns! No one will expect a bunch of nuns walking in formation in the back roads of nowhere. They can just slip into that hotel... oh. Nevermind. Well, at least they look sexy while getting killed.

And look! Agent 47 is doing the Sephiroth in fire pose! Squeeeeee!

He should've disguised himself as the first sexnun he murdered, nonchalantly followed the group, and then pushed them off of balconies one by one, when the others weren't looking.

He's going to get such a terrible rating on that mission if he doesn't just restart it.

I 've always enjoyed every Hitman game but I never understood why emphasis was put on completing missions stealthy and then as a reward they'd grant your hideout with a withering amount of truly abnoxious and loud armaments to drool over but never use. But I digress, this trailer looked spectacular. Deadly beauties getting equal rights is poetic justice to the enth degree. Ohh but 1 gripe...bad cover. have you ever seen hot nuns. they don't exist.

So... Agent 47 took the "Wild Wasteland" perk?

Man, people are really drawing conclusions from a trailer that presents a scene completely out of context. Is it so hard to imagine a group retaliating after Agent 47 did a mission (he's clearly been up to something)? Yes, nuns were a silly choice, but had it been 'Blood Money' it would've been a group of dudes in chicken suits or rednecks.

How obvious was it that Alex wrote the title? Very obvious. I'm not asking you to be professional, just try not to be nuts, duder.

Ehhh... this trailer isn't really what I am looking for in Hitman.

However, I do recall in developer videos that they are putting significant effort into environments crowded with people--which seems in line with want hitman fans would want--so I am just going to hope there is some disconnect with marketing and development right now.

Yea I'm not sure whats more sad.. a CGI trailer for a videogame or gamers getting upset at a CGI trailer for a videogame

I don't have enough attachment to the Hitman series to be totally offended by this or whatever, but I will say this: would have been cooler if those nuns were real and he was disguised as one of them, and the flash cuts to him in the hotel room were of him taking off make-up and fake breasts after killing some priest that had it coming.

Just like the Hitman I remember?

I hope the game is Exactly like this trailer! because then, you could murder nuns without fear or moral reprisal, I mean if all the nuns in the area are hiding guns up they frocks then yeah, choke a bitch!

I don't think the criticism here is that some assassins dressed as nuns come and attack Agent 47. The criticism is against the really amateur stereotypical basement teenager mentality of "hey guys! I love anime! Look at my dominatrix assassin nuns! Aren't they cool?! Haha Listen it's electric guitar music because electric guitars automatically mean this is so bad ass!" style of presentation.

This trailer is terrible.

after seeing pretty much every game blog shit on this trailer I was expecting to be upset. Now I'm just disappointed in Giantbomb for not seeing how awesome this is! Seriously, fuck yes in every way, Hitman has never been terribly serious, in fact the series was at its best when it was silly. Dressing up like a clown and booby trapping a BBQ was awesome.

It made sense in that context. We're dealing with the kind of subject matter that surrounds the grittiest side of life like sex rings and other filthy stuff. He's a professional MURDERER.

Even if this is going maaaaybe a tad overboard in my opinion, there has been some pretty odd/sexualized things in previous Hitman games, so it's a bit odd to see people react this strongly.

But besides al that, this trailer looked great, just as the first long CGI trailer they released.

Am I creepy to find it awesome to see a bad-ass male sociopath killing bad-ass female sociopaths?
