540p is a higher resolution than 480p as it's measured by the vertical.

I thought I paid a premium for HD videos? Looking at the difference between other HD videos on the (now) old player, and this gamespot hand-me-down, I am greatly disappointed.

And it's not just this video. The trailers posted today also had the same blurriness/artifacting going on, even on so-called "HD" settings.
