We got to see more Dead Cells, so yes, this is easily the best stream of the year. I couldn't believe it when Ben kicked down that door to avoid spending cells; I had no idea that was even possible!

So that's really wierd that they bring up the Speedlunky trophy during this. I was playing Spelunky while watching/listening to this after work and got the trophy run time was 6:18.064!

In New Zealand, New Years Day and January 2nd are both public holidays like Rorie was wishing. It is officially called the day after New Years Day.

As a teacher, having Christmas on a Wednesday is the best because you get three weekends off instead of the normal two. I've had 2.5 weeks off with school starting this coming Wednesday so it's been great.

I just started Ring Fit a few days ago. How have you been managing the length of your sessions? Do you just go until you're tired, or do you take a break when the game suggests it? I'm into world 3 and up until now I've been clearing a whole map at a time before stopping. But now they've introduced side quests and extra warp areas and I think it's going to get to be too much to do it all in one session. Just curious how you've been breaking it up?

If I may resurrect a chat question mentioned during this stream:

Yes, Slay the Spire has absolutely the worst graphics style I have ever seen in a game that is otherwise a 5-star game.

The enemy designs are aggressively bad eyeless blobs and eyeless plant monsters and there is just nothing resembling a coherent style. The environment art is super generic cave/dungeon stuff. The player character art is OK, in that they're a somewhat creative take on a warrior, rogue, and robot wizard. Honestly the player character art design feels like it teleported in from a game with much better art direction.

Guys this was super fun; don't apologize for having fun Rorie! I love seeing you guys here.
