I remember back in October or whenever it was when Saints Row said on twitter that this would be awesome, to see that it happened is amazing! That ground special where a car comes in is ridiculous.
@efesell: I liked Gat in 2 at least, but yeah in IV he`s just kind of there.
It's just that 3 and 4 far surpassed Gats level of insanity so when he comes back and is just kind of the same as always it's a real stark "Oh. That...really is all there was to you huh."

I would lean more towards them underusing Gat more so than Gat simply not being a fun character -- a bit one-note sure, but they could have done so much more with him I think. His loyalty mission was pretty poor in particular, especially against so many other inventive loyalty missions that existed within the game. Though of course his recruitment mission was probably my favourite, so they at least got that right! It was unfortunate how damn much they built up his rescue as well, only to just sorta have him hang out and occasionally talk tough. Even his short segment in SR3 made him seem more awesome than all of his stuff in SR4.
In SR2 he was on pretty equal footing with The Boss, only in SRIV where there's so many other supporting characters now, I guess they couldn't quite fit him in. They probably only brought him back in the first place due to fan-demand. Really would like to know what their motivation was for ''killing'' him in SR3 in the first place.
Daniel Dae Kim wasn't available cause he had to shoot Hawaii Five-0. Really, that's it.
Really? You're sure? Because I at least remember seeing a tweet from him saying how saddened he was that they killed Gat. But then, if what you say is true then of course he's going to say that.
So Lang said this will be patched into the PS3, Vita & Steam versions around the time the game comes out for PS4 & XB1. Can't believe it's free. Volition was so cool to work with them on this.
