I mean, King's Quest came out in the 80s, yeah? Maybe they're just trying to evoke that. Idunno, I kinda dig it.

I'm going to say the 90's VHS "Upcoming Features" quality is intentional. I'm about halfway through this game, and it is fantastic. Really respects the spirit of the early games, and the voice acting is great.

Looks like this was the result of the source vid having surround audio, which doesn't work well with our compressor. Should be fixed now.

That's actually kind of a bummer, I thought they were fully committing to a schtick!

Man, no kidding about the DTV Disney feel, this feels like it's directed towards parents standing in line at a supermarket. "Oh, little Timmy will enjoy this family adventure."

I have been enjoying it so far but it lacks actual death sequences. It's also more Telltales Monkey Island than Sierra Point and Click Adventure. The puzzles are pretty straight forward.

Christor Loyd is good but I miss the KQ6's Narrator, it suited goofy game better and had some clever funny writing as well.

That said, they nailed the atmosphere and the characters.

That trailer verbiage is Sierra as hell, for better or worse.

Sierra exists.

Super hesitant to buy this due to the rumblings of it being made with Kickstarter money given to The Odd Gentlemen with the understanding they'd use it to develop the Homestuck game. It looks good though.

Yeah that all sounded real fucked up. The rumor as I remember it seemed a bit dodgy too though and I'm not sure how much deeper was dug into it.

I really don't see anything wrong with there being an adventure "the whole family can enjoy".

Not everything has to be Amnesia or Dark Souls.

This seems awesome. I'm surprised to hear that some people seem down on it.

@doctorwhofreak: that whole rumour stems from one post on tumblr. I really doubt that Sierra and Activision would have allowed that to happen

and what if the rumor is not true? Would that be not be an injustice as well to not purchase something because of unsubstantiated anonymous claims?

Innocent until proven guilty I think is the fairest way to operate.

Toby Fox is more or less the lead composer for the homestuck comic's more interactive scenes so I am not 100% what is going on there
