Also I like how people are like, "EW LINKIN PARK SUX!" even though all of us loved Hybrid Theory and Meteora, cmon admit it you did at one point.

I would be excited if this was the Gorillaz, since they already have a pretty cool fleshed out world on their  website. But I guess I'll stick with the real awnser of WHAT!?!?!?!

As much as I hated their latest album... I loved their first 3. 
 
The game seems bad, but it has a premise to it that could be cool in the hands of some capable developers: 
 
You battle with high texture models and 3-d characters to make the world more Retro... the older the game looks, the better you are doing. I think that is a cool idea.

I hate Linkin Park as much as anyone but I got to give them props for a Revolution X style plot and trying to out crazy Blood in the Sand instead of a lame ass rhythm game.
I would love to see more bands do crazy ass games instead of just their own edition of Guitar Hero.
 Imagine a survival horror game about David Bowie or a turn based strategy RPG about Kanye West.

Oh man, Jeff and Ryan are going to have a field day with this one. This is kind of awesome in how terribly stupid it is. Probably getting it, not going to lie.

Yeah, at least they are moving away from the Tap Tap or Rock Band stuff and trying "something new" even if it does look pretty lame and if it's Linkin Park. I like the idea of a musical artist creating something new that's not quite an album, but something new and digital and interactive...just wish it wasn't Linkin Park doing this. 
 
Just think if this was coming from an artist that truly had artistic vision like Trent Reznor, Tool, or Daft Punk. Artist who are truly creative artistically could have limitless possibility in this space.

Has anyone actually ever seen 8-bit games? This is WAY too colorful for those. This looks nothing like 8-bit games. I'd call that a misnomer!

If only any other band was doing it.  Everything besides the "from Linkin Park" looks pretty cool.  Well done 8-bit versions of a band's songs?  Classic beat-em-up gameplay that links up to the band's music and style?  Out of game unlockables that (presumably) give you free music for your iPhone?  Connect those to a good band and I'd get it.

If I was a Linkin Park fan this would be cool.
