After actually watching the 'trailer', the underlining idea is actually pretty cool. Why Linkin Park is so invested, however, is still a question.

If this is real, and I PRAY it is, I hope that 1-1 involves sneaking out of your parents house to go to a local venue where Linkin Park are playing a show. Just as Chester (thats right, I know his name) is explaining that the government is putting you down, they roll up to put an end to the concert! But Linkin Park wont be silenced that easily, and together you fight your way to the top to bring down these oppressors. Throw in a pit stop to Hot Topic to 'gear up for the fight' before levels and a few text bubbles that say things like "Teen Angst!" and "Daddy Issues!" when you strike military thugs with your wallet chain and  you have yourself GoTY.  
 
But I know better. It is one damn good April Fool's.

So shitty and fake bands get games, but legends hardly even get a song on a soundtrack?

Damn, why does this video feel like a youtube fanboy parody? Probably because it's too good to be true! Now I can finally turn Linkin Park's world into my gaming reality!!!!

I have to say this, I used to love Linkin Park and still listen to all their old songs but Minutes to Midnight did not quite cut it for me... And I dropped off the bandwagon soon after. 
 
Still, I will buy this because of the obvious dedication Linkin Park is showing. And Blackbird sounds awesome.
