I hate what Monster Hunter has done to Japan.

If you mean brutally generic looking then yes.

Y'know, nothing strikes me as especially brutal in this trailer. But then I remember this is a SWERY-joint. And then I remember the meat hook scene. And then I just kinda smile for a while.

Monster Hunter with Square Enix juice sprayed all over it.

So this is less brutal than Mortal Kombat 1 then? I'm sorry, but since 1992 spraying blood everywhere just doesn't cut it anymore.

Also that was some nice music there.

So according to Squenix brutal = rock music, tattoos and splashes of blood. Where exactly is this brutality?

You know it's brutal when prog rock comes into play. But yeah, it looks really cool. Might pick it up but when Monster Hunter Freedom 3 comes out I think that will take over.

Looks like they are going after the Monster Hunter market which is enormous in Japan. 

It looks as if they just stole the design doc from God Eater and made it less cool somehow.

I think I'll stick with Monster Hunter...

Looks like a Monster Hunter clone, which is 100% okay with me, will probably pick it up.

that lead up to the "brutal action" was rather anti-climactic. Spikey haired dudes with big swords and  red splattering on the screen seems a lot more brutal in concept.

The song that plays sounds really familiar to me, but I can't quite recall just where I heard it before.

This is Swery's new game isn't it? Or at least he's been hyping it up on his twitter.
