Mafia II Interview

Looks interesting.  I'm surprised, however, to see canned death animations.  I guess they're going for mobster melodrama?

I'm liking the look of this. I hope it plays well.

I have mixed feelings about it, as with the first one. Many of the missions were great, but the world wasn't as open as I would have liked.

Loved the first one, lets hope this will be as good.

The shooting looks a little off... I don't know.

New York again...I think cities a little more rare in open world games would be better, like Chicago was for the first. Maybe Boston, or somewhere that's ya know...not New York.

The shooting looks way off to me. Is the game really going to ship without blood? I genuinely hard a hard time telling when a guy was getting hit by the tommy gun and when he wasn't.

This looks really good!! I thought this would be another GTA wannabe, but I'm really liking the looks of it.

I'm a little sick of the Italian Maffia, at this point it's been so played out. But this looks like a well put together game so might be good even with clichés flying around you like bullets.

The first Mafia game is in the hall of fame of games. This second game is a must check out! Hope they don't disappoint. The difference of maturity between GTA and Mafia was obvious, GTA was pop action film while Mafia was a classy well finished dramatic triller. And I won't even bother with the Godfather games, Mafia 1 beats Godfather 1/2 hands down... I expect nothing less from Mafia 2.

This really looks good and I cant wait to get my hands on it. The first Mafia is hands down my favorite game of all time and it looks like they have improved every aspect of that game, so I think its going to be something special just like the first game was.

Am I the only one who thought his walking animation at the beginning made him look like a tool?

This is the best looking sandbox game I've ever seen.

I can tel u all right now that the action sucks... look at that repetiion and slow pace just from this trailer. Its cover, shoot, cover,shoot.

The shooting doesn't look perfect, but it already seems far more competent than GTA IV's ridiculously sloppy gunplay mechanics.

I haven't played the first, but the second looks pretty good so far.

Oh god i'm so hard. I loved Mafia 1 more than anything else in the world.

Man I so can't wait for this game.

This looks great. It's nice to see someone really focusing on story. I hope it lives up to what this interview leads me to believe. The music sounds cool too.

Shooting and driving look a little rough but I see a lot of potential!

Pop in, bad lip sync and canned death animations have me worried. But the skin texture looks really good.
Also, no aim assist? Hmm.

I have a feeling that GTA will still be better than this...the driving looks pretty crappy and the action looks pretty boring....

It looks great, I loved the first Mafia.

The one on one interviews where you can hear the questions the GB guys ask are much better.
