Mario Galaxy 2 Trailer

Whats up with game developers having absolutely no originality recently?

That said I cant wait for this game.

I was just thinking about selling my Wii, too. Damn you Nintendo!

Well, it certainly is Mario Galaxy - with as many surprisingly refreshed ideas the 1st brought in, it would be almost impossible to have the same "wow" factor on a second go round on the same concept....still welcomed, just not as exciting. More Metroid, More Galaxy, Kart, Smash Bros, Zelda.....a predictable but proven pattern with the big N...

Nifty!  A bit embarrassing, but I have Mario Galaxy on my shelf and haven't really played any of it.  I'd better get on that.

Nintendo its looking pretty good..... don't shoot me but my first thought was that it looked like their not adding enough New control and Power ups but I like the looks of this thing and its only a trailer so I hope theres a lot more to see:)

Awesome!

I surprised to see another Mario after the first Galaxy came out not so long ago.  If it's going to ride the success of the first, this thing will sell by the boatload.  Although I would have liked to have seen another major franchise, this certainly grabbed my attention.  I'll have to look into the other mario game that's on the Wii, too.

A second Super Mario Galaxy with Yoshi? Sold!

While I'm really not that surprised to see this sequel I'm negatively suprised to see that Yoshi is showing up or that anyone wasn't expecting that character to show up when they found out a sequel to MG was coming. The Mario cast of characters isn't as big as Final Fantasy or anything large so any sequel worth anything will try to add some/all of the characters that weren't in the first one to what they could cram into a disc.

It was expected. And I can't wait to play it. :D

Day one buy for me. That's two from E3 so far. Assassin's Creed II being the second.

At first i was like this is EFFING awesome! then i watched it again and said...this looks like the same game with more levels and yoshi....then i watched it a THIRD time and said...first game was amazing therefore its still EFFING awesome.

This seems more like it should be DLC for Mario Galaxy, but the Wii can't really do DLC.

This was the biggest surprise from Nintendo. We haven't had a Mario sequel in over 15 years!

This looks great. What I don't understand is all of the negative comments. The game isn't even close to being out yet people, so you can stop your bitching. I'm sure they will change things up like they always do right after E3 (ex: title, gameplay, levels, ect..). Even if this turns out to basically be an expansion pack I really don't care seeing as how much I loved the first one. Besides Yoshi's in it! Can you say kick ass!?!

This announcement is the best thing of E3 for me.

Super Mario Galaxy was one of the best gaming experiences I've had over these 25 years and was a sublime stroke of genius on all levels. The nostalgia was there, the innovation was there and the love was there.
I still haven't enjoyed a game on my 360 or PS3 more than that even though I use them a whole lot more than my Wii.

As much as I like Mario, Nintendo admitted, by putting out this trailer for a direct sequel Mario game, that they have no ideas left for this game series. 

Looks like a ton of fun!

It's hilarious looking at the comments here from the future (when the game was released), how wrong people were about the game.
 
It's also amazing how much of this game changed since E3 2009. The levels are so empty compared to the final version, and it no longer has 3D grass.

Haha, holy crap, coming back and reading some of these comments is hilarious. SMG2 was my favorite game of this generation.
