I'm more curious as to why GB would post this promo/trailer.  It just doesn't seem to be the kind of things that would appeal to most of the community and audiences here.  I'd understand if they get money out of advertising it, but if not, GB certainly isn't hurting enough for content to really need this.

I have to admit though, that the Wii accessories make a lot more sense for a winter sports Olympics rather than summer sports. All the ski events with a balance board and the bob/sleigh events. 
 
I'm not supporting this or Nintendo (I gave up after the Gameboy died).
 
But if you've played Wii-sport games of any kind with friends you know that it turns into a cheese-fest. Especially the boxing.

I'm sincerely looking forward to this, I thought the first one was real fun with mates. However, this trailer kinda makes me worried about the input required for each event, especially without the motion plus. I hope they don't get too carried away with it.
 
And as for "money grabbing mini games", this is actually developed by the same guys at Sega who made Athlete Kings and Winter Heat, if anyone remembers those, so it's actually essentially those but with Sonic and Mario characters.
