I'm still not feeling it.  I've played Fallout 3 and Borderlands and plenty of shooters from the 90s - what does this have to offer that I haven't seen before?

I'm not convinced yet. I think id might have lost some of their magic.

2011?! This game seems like it has been in development forever. I was hoping for a Fall 2010. Let's hope 2011 means, Q1 2011 and not fall 2011... 

Good stuff. The only question that wasn't asked that I would have liked to know more about is the vehicle stuff. It seems like they're really scaling that down.

I've been looking forward to this since it was announced. To me this seems like the definitive post-apocalyptic game. Better shooting than fallout 3, better vehicle combat (which is an important part of post-apoc.) than borderlands, better visuals and physics than both. All of this is based on what I've seen so far. 
 
 
I think frames per second might be the most important measurable graphical component of an enjoyable game and the overall experience. Forever I've been waiting for developers to say they care about and prioritize fps as an important issue.  
 
2011.... that is a bummer but like Brad I guess I'll live.

Raaaaaaaaggggeeee!!!! at the release date.... it's so far away :( ah well, at least it'll be the best goddamn post-apocalyptic shooter ever at that point in development, considering the most recent previews suggest it is already kick ass :D I love the graphical flair to it all. Anyways... FUCK, I just remembered Bodycount isn't coming out until 2011 either. :(

Hope they really take the time to optimize it well for PC. In this day and age all these companies keep saying they treat the PC as an equal, but then we get crappy versions that run like shit, UI's/button layouts designed for consoles, and our versions released long after the game has lost its appeal and has had all of it's most interesting parts spoiled before we even get a chance to play it.

I'm happy ID decided to work on Rage until they're happy with the final product. This game has a lot of promise. It be a shame if they rush it out the door. besides; We need something to look forward to in 2011.

Bethesda's really gonna have to clearly point out the disparities between Rage, New Vegas, and Hunted if they want to avoid creating confusion and actually sell copies of all 3.  As of now, these games look far too similar to one another to be viewed as 3 unique titles.
 
...but I'll still probably buy all three.

When Brad asked if they're "still amping up the visual qualities to insane levels on the PC" and the guy answered no, that hit me pretty hard. Doom 3, Quake 4, and now this. . .I have lost all my faith in Id.

Bethesda sure does seem to like its post apoc setting haha

man, this game sounds awesome, but aside from that, i have to say that i LOVE it when after an interview, the camera just zooms and turns onto some random spot in the middle of the interviewer and the interviewee :D

I saw some gameplay videos and it looked quite good but it doesn't look THAt impressive. Well, time will tell i guess. Let's see if the story and the setting will turn out to be something special.
