Metroid: Other M Gameplay Reveal Trailer

I'm glad we finally got to see some real gameplay but I'm still a bit worried about the control scheme. It seems too easy to accept; especially with all the things you see Samus doing in this trailer.
 
I have faith this game will be great, but it still isn't enough for me to give Nintendo my money. They've got a lot of making up to do. Oh, and after seeing this, I just can't stop thinking about what Team Ninja could do if this was on a different platform. If only, if only...

game looks decent, but i don't really trust the goodness of wii-mote's digital direction pad... 
 
some reason i never felt good with both the wii and the NDS' digital direction pads. PlayStation on the other hand has a good digital pad, or so i felt.

I still can't believe the subtitle is "Other M". It's god awful! Not as bad as Armored Core: For Answer, but damned close.

I hope they pull this off ok. I don't want to see the Metroid name tarnished if this happens to fail.

Looks okayish. Right up until she opens her mouth and spews one liners and gibberish. I hear Team Ninja always has too many bugs, and Wii games have enough of those. I'll wait for a friend's opinion.

This is how a new generation Metroid game should look like. The Prime series was cool and so, but Metroid plays best as a third person, platformer action game.

I'm confused. Still.

I think it looks pretty great, especially the '2d' parts.

That CGI scene with the cyclops is such a cock tease. Was most impressed by the FPS scenes.

I don't own a Wii, but I look to be damn happy for those who do when this releases.  I do have to say I am a bit biased as I enjoyed the original metroids and I want the series to do well.  The first person bits look forced, and I think they'll hold the game back, but the rest of the gameplay was stellar.
 
I also just realized that Samus may be the original Space Marine... even if she was actually a bounty hunter.

 Metroid is the only reason I would buy a Wii. And if they make this one really good, I may very well buy one! With the metroid prime trilogy and the virtual console, it makes a good place to play almost all metroid games.

Certainly looks more fast paced than I'd anticipated. The whole first person mode just makes me wonder why the hell I should bother with this when I can just play the Prime games?

So Samus has a mole? That's what I took from this.

I'm not sure if I'd like to be stuck when I'm in FPS mode. I like to move around constantly.
 
But hey, if the controls work, I'm buying it.

I have to admit it looks pretty promising to be a great game also from what I can tell from the control scheme it should be ease to deal with, use the D pad on the Wii Remote for the classic style of game play of metroid, then if you want to play the game like Metroid prime (or use the MP style of FPS game play) then you can.

that's the definition of 2.5D, great, the best part of super metroid mixed with the best from prime done by team ninja, cooool

Holy crap, this looks freaking awesome!!! 

I'm assuming there will be a sex mini game at some point.
